Since Sega began development of Sonic the Hedgehog in 1990, the concept has grown from a small teenage hedgehog to a fast, furry, and blue blur to an adventure of epic proportions.
Mobius, Sonic’s home planet, was established in Francis Mao’s 1991 promotional comic. Since then, the world has grown beyond the expected along with the success of Sonic the Hedgehog’s fame and popularity.
If you want to do the good creatures of Mobius a service and take up the mantle of Sonic the Hedgehog in an effort to save the day, here are seven essential pieces of information you need to be aware of:
* Golden Rings: Sonic’s life expectancy is linked to how many of the gold rings he collects. He can also buy valuable objects with them for later use. Last but not least, collecting 100 rings often results in additional opportunities to save the day.
* Chaos Emeralds: The Chaos Emeralds are seven in number and hold great power. Yellow, purple, red, grey, blue, orange, and green, are the colors. The holder of the Chaos Emeralds controls the world. Needless to say, they can be good or bad depending on whose hands they fall into.
* Master Emerald: The Master Emerald can only be controlled by the Knuckles Tribe. If it falls into the wrong hands, it is capable of great harm, even if the Chaos Emeralds are working for good. After all, the Master Emerald is capable of negating their powers and empowering machinery. Just the type of power the evil Dr. Robotnik would love to have!
* Checkpoints: Checkpoints are vital to your mission in helping Sonic collect the Chaos Emeralds and keep power out of Dr. Robotnik’s hands. They save Sonic’s position in a zone, so that if there are any setbacks, he does not have to start his mission all over again.
* Goals: By making it to the Goals at the end of each zone, you as Sonic the Hedgehog can free captives of Dr. Robotnik or earn bonuses to aid you in the fight. But you have to get there first!
* Springs: If you are going to save Mobius from the clutches of Dr. Robotnik and his badniks, you have not a moment to spare. Springs allow you faster acceleration through each zone, so you can more quickly reach the final confrontation.
* Animals: In every great battle between good and evil, there are always the Innocents: those creatures caught in the crossfire and often used to the villain’s gain. Such is the case for the Animals. Dr. Robotnik uses the Animals to help power his evil machinery.
Mobius is a beautiful world worth fighting for. It is home to Sonic the Hedgehog, one of the video gaming community’s most famous and beloved heroes. Unfortunately, it is also home to some of the greatest evils, in particular one Dr. Robotnik. But if you keep the seven items in this article in mind, you will never lose sight of the ultimate objective: keeping Mobius safe, once and for all.

This includes items such as clothing, knives, lights, firearms and Browning safes to keep those firearms safe and out of the wrong hands. Not only are safes used to keep the firearms secure, they also protect from fire and other natural disasters. Palusol expanding fire seal.
The Medallion series is next up with the M56F, M39F, M28F and M19F. It upgrades to:
90 minutes of fire protection.
Four layers of fireboard in the body and door, and five layers in ceiling and floor.

100 minutes fire protection.
Five layers of fireboard in the body, and four layers in door.
Premium 3-in-1 palusol fire seal.
The Platinum series is the top of the line in Browning safes. The different size models are the PP47F, PP39F, PP28F. It has some security upgrades from the Gold series of safes, but the fire protection is the same as listed directly above.

You may not realize this now but the best online backup services can actually help you a lot. Whether you are a student dealing with schoolwork, or just your average user with a decent volume of files, photos, and personal documents in your hard drive, using online backup solutions is still applicable to you. Other than keeping your data secure in a location that isn’t susceptible to theft or damage caused by various disasters, backup services also protect them from falling into the wrong hands. But finding the best online backup services is essential for you to get all the advantages of this backup method.
Online storage companies which offer similar services are priced competitively – usually around $5 per month. However, depending on the exact services that you want, you may pay less or more, sometimes even nothing at all. Just be extra careful in accepting services with suspiciously low or free offers. While most of them are usually harmless, entrusting your important data with someone who does not necessarily offer the service that you need may not be a good idea. Furthermore, it is just about fair that you get what you pay for, for your online backup services.
File accessibility is also another factor to consider. Being able to retrieve your files immediately would not be such a major issue if you’re just looking to have copies of old photos printed, but for a student who needs access to his notes ASAP or for an office employee who sometimes brings work at home, even a day of waiting could be too long. You would therefore want an online backup service that can best respond to this need. Different online storage companies have varying policies when it comes to file restoration so be sure to raise these concerns before signing up.
You also want to make sure that you can use the software that most of these companies require you to work with. Since each company has its own system, you often have to deal with different levels of user-friendliness. If the program you have to work with is written in a hard to understand way or even extremely technical, you may not be able to work with it. The idea of backing up online is to give you the protection you need without wasting your time so be sure the company has a decent backup wizard in their software suite.
Lastly, you need a secure service. Most companies offer encryption of your stored information as it travels between your computer and theirs. However, some companies can offer more than that. You can find companies which scatter your files across their services making it impossible for any outsider to decipher any important information. You may also choose to put a password on your files. All these added services work together to give you the top-level security that you need.
If you follow these simple guidelines, you would find it easy finding the best online backup service for you. To get you started, try Carbonite. You can check out the full Carbonite backup review here.

A proxy is basically a webpage that allows you to look through and access blocked sites. An information filter may have blocked the sites. If you experience trouble, viewing certain websites such as YouTube or My Space then using a proxy would be best option. In the work place, you may find certain entertainment and social sites such as My Space are blocked because most of the employers do not want their employees browsing the internet instead of working. If this is the scenario then you should seek the use of a proxy to get to view the sites.
A proxy protects your IP identity from being passed through to the server. In this way, it protects your personal information from landing in the wrong hands. When you visit some internet sites your computer may be subjected to snooping through spyware or cookies that are set into your computer without your awareness. Information is easily passed onto others and they may hack into your computer and spy on your personal activities, which can cause you financial or personal embarrassments.
You can also use a proxy to hide the content and activity of the webpage you are viewing. It makes you appear invisible while viewing over a blocked webpage. If you need a proxy, you can simply search for it in the internet. Your results will reveal that there are many from which to choose, it is best that you pick the one that suits your needs best.
The proxy site will give you a place to type in the internet site that you wish to access and you will be able to load the page from there. Depending on the type of proxy some will let you view the whole site while others only a small portion of it.
If you intend to use a proxy to visit a blocked site, such as my space you may have trouble getting the appropriate proxy but if you continue searching, you will find it. Most of the government PC networks will only permit you to visit restricted parts of the pages you are viewing.
The best way to find the appropriate proxy is to make a search and browse through the various websites that put forward proxy access. You might have to try out different sites before you find the right one for use. After you have found the right site to use there is no doubt that, you will be able to view the content that you wish.
Note that these sites may have been blocked for a certain reason such as they may be harmful to your computer and so on. You need to know the reason why a site has been blocked before accessing it. Even though you are invisible, there are other ways that somebody can monitor what you are doing. Therefore, you are not completely invisible, proxies are great ways to get past certain blocks and access crucial information online with regards to the job at hand.

Data security in any organization is the first and the foremost thing that the company should take care about. In most of the companies, people spend many hours working on Internet and store their critical information in the system like Bank Account Numbers, PAN card number, etc. People generally use various intense methods and fully protected passwords to safeguard the information or anything which they do not want to reveal or share with anyone. Therefore to avoid misuse of information, it becomes necessary to completely delete all the data from the hard disk, in case you are selling off or donating your system. In fact, even formatting or deleting the information from the computer system does not mean that your data is permanently deleted. The data remains in the hard drive until it is overwritten. Here arises the need to use a powerful Drive Wipe application to erase your data completely and make the data unrecoverable by any means.
For example, you want to sell your old computer that contains your personal information to a friend. Before selling it off, you delete all the data and format the hard drive properly. But does that mean that all the data has been deleted permanently from the hard drive?
Actually, the deleted data stays in the hard drive, but gets virtually inaccessible. Formatting does not remove the data permanently from the hard drive, until the path is overwritten. The content of the files remain on the hard drive. It is just that the path of your data gets deleted. The data can easily be recovered by a good quality data recovery software, which can result in misuse of your personal or professional information. Thus, in order to prevent your data from falling in wrong hands, and permanently remove the data from the hard drive, you need to use an effective Drive Wipe application. These Drive Wipe utilities systematically overwrite the existing data with 0 and 1 randomly and wipes off the data permanently.
To remove your data permanently from the hard drive, use the Stellar Disk Wipe software to completely delete your data without any possibility of data recovery. These Drive Wipe applications employ highly advanced wipe algorithms to ensure complete eradication of data from the hard drive. The highly enriched graphical user interface makes the software easy to use and understand. This read only application is available for both Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X operating systems.
Shaun Pattrik has 6 Years of Experience in the Software Technology researching with Stellar Info. system Ltd which offers drive wipe, disk wipe, wipe hard drive and drive wipe software. For more information please visit: http://www.drive-wipe.com/

Laptops are the modern day lifesavers that let you do all your work on the move. So you do not have to be tied down to a work desk all day long. Instead you can roam about freely and do your work from wherever you want. However, this means that your laptop is loaded with all your personal and professional data and that can be very dangerous if it falls in to the wrong hands. You could lose your identity, your money, your job or all of them together. Since laptops are so mobile, they are always at an added risk of theft.
Laptops are meant to be portable and hence a thief will have no problem carrying them away. Thus, if you want to keep your data and laptop safe, you better start thinking smart. One way of course is to handcuff yourself to your laptop. Even though it works in spy movies, let me assure you that in real life it will make your daily life very difficult at the very least. So what should you do? You should invest in smarter options for protecting your laptop and or at least the data on it. You can easily replace a laptop and other than the cost of a new laptop, you will not lose much. However, if you lose the data, you will have much more to pay for.
Thus it is only logical that we should think about protecting the data. Data protection for your laptop should be your top priority. There are several ways of doing this. The major and modern operating systems all have encryption in place. They have inbuilt, as well third party solutions to encrypt the data on your laptop. While encryption levels may vary, you will still have your data secured.
But what happens when the laptop gets stolen? How long will it take for a hacker to get into your system and steal the data of the drive? It may not take very long. So apart from encrypting sensitive data, you should also practice other forms of data safety. One habit that you must quit is storing your passwords on your system and keeping your system automatically logged on important websites. This should especially be avoided when it comes to financial portals like banks, online shopping networks and any other money related portal that you might be using.
Another way to get some peace of mind is to use a strong security program like Laptop Cop. Laptop Cop is one of the best applications in the field, if not the best, in protecting the data on a stolen laptop. It takes care of all the necessary steps on behalf of the user in case the laptop is stolen and the thief tries to access the data. It uses complex algorithms and intelligent programming to deliver a top-level security to your laptop. Since the Windows platform attracts so many miscreants, Laptop Cop has been made available for the current versions of the Windows OS.

Playing on the Travian speed server can undoubtedly be one of the funniest experiences because things happen so fast. You can finally justify building an extra village in a crazy location or suiciding your army on someone’s village because it doesn’t take weeks to rebuild.
What are some of these fun things that you can do to make you smile and laugh as your conquer other players? (Warning: Some of these tips are downright hateful)
· Build a village right next to a farm. If you have a farm that gives you over 25,000 wood/clay/iron/crop every day you may consider building a village right next to it to get more raids in every day.
· Build a village away from your cluster but close to your friends or alliance. This way you can farm new players and destroy new hammers. Having a “hybrid” village that destroys everything around has been a source of fun on my account.
· Rename your village names “1, 2, 3, etc.” Almost every player has numbers at the beginning of his/her villages so that they can be accessed and referenced easily on the keyboard. However doing this will give you at least one shipment of free resources each week from players who accidentally send you resources originally intending to send them to one of their villages.
· Zero a village. I know this isn’t very rational, but sometimes when I’m having a bad day I’ll just take it out on a player on Travian. If you have 1000 catapults, there’s no reason why you can’t experiment or destroy a village in 8 seconds. What’s one village anyway?
· Cranny up x 10. If you have a village that someone near you is trying to chief, you can always destroy some of the more important buildings and replace them with crannies. There is nothing more humiliating than stealing a village that has 12 level 10 crannies. Or better, yet, destroy your own village completely because you don’t want it turning over to the wrong hands.
Daniel Massicotte has invested over 400 hours into understanding Travian. Join his Travian Help Desk to learn more about the game and find out how to prevent players from farming your villages: http://www.traviananswers.com

The first thing that you need to do is protect yourself and understand that just because you have deleted files, it does not mean that they are fully deleted. Leaving a computer on the curb or in the trash means that you are giving random strangers access to your private information unless you take the time to delete files from your hard drive. The thing is though, once you have deleted said files, you then have a computer with all kinds of space that is all of a sudden running a whole lot better than it was! Now why would you want to throw that in the trash? What you should be doing is recycling your computer once you no longer want or need it!
Ways to Recycle a Computer
Give it to a family member. By offering your used computer to a family member you are giving it to someone who needs it and can probably take it off your hands without fear of your private data ending up in the wrong hands.
Donate it to a charity. There are all kinds of charities that would benefit from a working computer. For instance, the Salvation Army could sell it in one of their thrift stores and use the proceeds towards one of their many programs. Or there are all kinds of programs out there that offer computer lessons to new comers or underprivileged kids who would not otherwise have access to a computer.
Send it back to where it came from. Most companies offer recycling programs and will take back your old computer for a small fee or for free.
Recycle responsibly. If your computer is beyond repair or you just can not seem to find the time to take it elsewhere, then you should at the very least recycle it accordingly by taking it apart and placing the materials in the right place. Things like wires and cartridges can be recycled with other household items.
Aside from the fact that there are others who could benefit from your computer, you should also consider the damage that you will be doing by throwing it in the trash. Your computer is full of toxins like mercury and led which have no place in a landfill. These toxins have a dangerous effect on the environment and on our health, so by allowing them to end up in landfills means leaking them into the soil, drinking water , air and ultimately into you and your loved ones.
The sad reality is that most people do not bother to recycle their electronics responsibly and because of this, close to 4 million tons of consumer electronic waste was generated in the US last year. Dont contribute to these sad statistics and instead opt to be someone who makes a difference.

Face detection or Facial Recognition is a technology that determines the locations and sizes of human faces in random (digital) images. It only focuses on the facial features and leaves apart everything else such as buildings and trees.
Face detection is used in combination with a facial recognition system. It is used in video surveillance and security systems. Facial recognition or Facial Tracking systems are used for a varied number of security purposes:
1. Facial Recognition systems are used in casinos to detect fraud.
2. The US government uses facial recognition for visa processing and it is one of the largest systems in the world.
3. Some new uses of Face Tracking such as to detect voter fraud and ATM fraud are being experimented with.
4. Some of the uses of Facial Recognition systems are not being publicized due to the sensitive nature of the information and its possibility of being used in the wrong hands.
Automatic License Plate Reader is used for a varied number of security purposes:
1. A London municipality uses it as part of their area wide security system.
2. Automatic License Plate Reader is used in border controls to let citizens of some countries to pass through without any checks.
3. It has been used in events to identify potential troublemakers and limit their attendance and foe Intrusion Detection.
4. Some of the uses of Automatic License Plate Reader are not being publicized due to the sensitive nature of the information.
LineUp uses artificial intelligence to identify and document human faces through video streaming. It sends out instant alerts when a security violation happens pr a parameter is breached. The instant alerts give the security personnel and police officers an advantage over the violators.
LineUp also maintains detailed records of the events in a user friendly format that does away with the need of going through each and every recording of the tape. This makes it faster and accurate. It is compatible with existing CCTV systems, which makes it cost effective as well. The system maintains a database and is very useful for City Municipalities, Casinos, VIP and High Risk Areas, Public transport systems, Police work and crime prevention and in military uses. It is being currently used in a wide variety of roles and has lead to a reduction in the cost of security and a more pro-active approach in security measures.

Guns may seem to be a good idea for home protection; after all, what kind of weapon will deter more than a gun. This is a mistake. Guns should never be used as home protection, especially when there are so many different ways you can protect yourself and your family. Personally, I have nothing wrong with guns. I own several for sporting and I carry one for my job, but in the wrong hands they are a disaster waiting to happen. In several states deadly force is against the law to protect one’s property. For this reason if you happen to shoot someone inside for stealing you actually may be held liable. You could be committing a crime. If someone breaks into your house the best thing to do is call the police. You should in no manner attempt to approach someone breaking into your house. There is no way to know how they will react and you have no idea what weapons they have and if they are willing to use it. Ask yourself if that TV is really worth your life.
If you have a gun and intend to use it for home protection chances are you may keep it loaded. If you have kids and they find it somehow, and kids can find anything in a house tragedy can strike. If someone breaks into your house and finds the gun they could use it against you. If you do not keep it loaded and someone breaks into your house you probably are going to be so panicked that you won’t remember how to load it.
Once panic sets in, chances are you will not be able to operate the gun properly or safely so it will be useless to you and you have a greater chance to have it taken and used against you.
If you get through all the actions of finding the gun, almost certainly after panic sets in your body will simply not function properly and your decision ability will be severally crippled. If you go downstairs and find yourself face to face with someone stealing your TV what next? If that person has your TV in hand and you shoot them for that reason only there is a good chance that you have just committed a crime yourself. The average citizen would be so scared and panicked there is a good chance the fear would paralyze them and they would not be able to say anything let along pull a trigger of a gun.
The average person does not have the proper training to use a gun properly for protection. A gun should only be used by law enforcement for means of protection. You must ask yourself “are you able to take a life”. It’s my opinion that most people who say “yes” are the ones who would freeze in that situation.
No one is prepared to take a life, even law enforcement, I carry a gun for my job and if the need arose, I could take a life, but I have been trained, and I constantly think about it. I don’t know how I would react and I hope I never have to find out, but I am ready and prepared, the average citizen is not prepared, not trained properly and a gun for protection is the absolute worst thing they could rely on.

Most of us these days are aware of the fact that our electronic data is not secure. Anyone on the web with a little know-how could access our computer over the Internet and get into our files. To keep our electronic data safe it is important to remember to password protect your MS Office documents. Password protecting documents takes very little effort and will prevent important or sensitive files from falling into the wrong hands.
By placing a password on your important files you are ensuring that your documents are safe from those who would seek to exploit it, such as identity thieves. If you own a company you will want to do the same for your financial information as well as and documents that contain info about your clients. While you may not think it is important now, if the data should ever get stolen you will be thankful for it.
There is one small downside to password protecting your documents ” what happens if you lose the password to a file? While you probably like to write down the passwords to your documents somewhere, this is not very safe as someone could find them and all your documents would be at risk. At the same time if you dont write them down you run the risk of losing all your important data if you forget the passwords associated with the files.
This is where you need a password recovery tool. There are several different types of programs available that can help you get into your files. While some of them are free, you will have much better success with a licensed version of password recovery software as they offer more options and have more streamlined recovery algorithms.
There are many kinds of password recover programs, but most of them work in the same way. They will try to access the file by guessing the password. If your password is relatively strong it may take some time for the software to find the right combination of characters.
To start the program will work through the dictionary, combining each word with numbers or symbols if you request. If your password is an actually word, then you should have some luck here. Otherwise the software recovery tool will carry on to the next step, which is to try combinations of letters, numbers and symbols until it finds the right combination. The more complicated your password is, the longer the program will take to find the answer.
Finally the password recovery software can simply disable the password protection on the file. This is where you want to be careful, as once the password protection is removed then your files are again in danger. Ensure you quickly protect them again once you have got in, and remember the password this time!
While this type of software is a great tool to use when you forget your password, it should not replace whatever method you use to keep track of your passwords. Create a bomb-proof file with a long and complicated password to store the keys to your other files, and commit the password to this file to memory ” do not write it down, or if you do keep it in a safe place where no one will find it. Then you can rest knowing that all your files are safe and sound.
Password protecting your file can be a pain yes but think of the alternative. The next time you are password protecting your MS Office file which include: word, excel, outlook, powerpoint, etc you think if creating a separate secure password protected file to store all your passwords in. This way you can access them all with the simple use of one password.

Unlike many other electronics, laptop computers can still be very valuable after their regular lifetime is up. Older laptops that can’t keep up with new technology, laptops that aren’t working anymore, laptops that are simply out of date and collecting dust in your basement can still be valuable.
There are companies that exist that have the capabilities to take your used laptop and refurbish it so that it can be used again. This makes your laptop valuable to these companies because they can buy it from you, refurbish it, and re-sell it for a profit.
This may sound too good to be true for some people. For those who are skeptical about selling their used laptops, here is a basic guide to getting your used laptop value quickly and easily.
Search online for companies that will buy your laptop. There are several available however, just like any industry, some are better than others.
The first and most important thing for you to do is to check out the company’s policy and make sure that they will erase any information that is contained on your computer as soon as it is received.
Although you can delete files and clean out your computer, there still may be information left on it. Should it get into the wrong hands, you could face serious problems.
Finding a company that will buy your laptop and keep your information safe is top priority. Be sure that they will erase all information once your laptop is received and that their website is certified secure as well.
The next most important thing to consider when selling your laptop is how much cash you can receive from it. Make sure that you are selling to a company that can give you the best used laptop value possible.
And finally, find out what their policy is on turnaround time. Your cash won’t mean as much to you if you have to wait eight weeks to receive it. Sell to a company that can send you the cash for your laptop quickly.
Once you receive your cash for your old laptop, you can put it towards purchasing a new laptop. Technology is advancing so quickly and there are so many new models available that selling your old laptops for cash could be a great way for you to keep up with technology!

For most people when they are considering business broadband they take one look at the price and change their mind. The price drives people away before they have considered any other features or benefits that these plans can offer a fast paced enterprise. Without sufficient broadband capabilities most big business would struggle to be efficient and in some cases would probably struggle to exist.
We are going to take a look at the business broadband market and uncover what is behind the smokescreen that is the price.
Technical Support
Although you probably don’t realize this, but technical support levels are probably the most important part of a business broadband package. When things ‘just work’ in a business it’s great, but when things go wrong they can really go wrong.
If you were using domestic broadband and it faltered you would probably ring the 50p per minute helpline, wait in a queue for 25 minutes and hope the problem was something so minor that you probably didn’t need to ring them in the first place. However if it’s something bigger than this it’s probably a safe bet that you will wait days, weeks, or even months to have the problem rectified (this happened to me).
Most business broadband packages will come with a good service level agreement where they will promise to fix any problems within a given amount of time. Don’t assume that every business broadband deal is the same, it is well worth checking.
Security
Imagine if your important business files or, worse still your customer’s personal information got into the wrong hands, your business could easily be ruined. I’m sure you will agree that a security is of utmost importance to any company so why compromise it? Most business broadband deals will include additional security measures which you won’t find with home broadband.
Scalability
Business broadband packages are offered at different levels, with different levels designed to cater for different sized enterprises. A self employed plumber will have differing needs to an estate agent with 30 branches and over 200 staff. As the business grows it is easy to move up the scale of packages so if the estate agent with 30 branches grows to over 300, there is very little hassle in scaling up the broadband connectivity.
Restrictions
There are a multitude of tasks which any given business may need to undertake that would be rendered impossible without the use of business broadband. If you run a business which is based in several geographic locations and there is a need for your computer systems to communicate with each other, you may require a static IP address. An IP address is a number used to identify your internet connection. Most home broadband providers allocate a unique IP address every time the user connects to the internet, given the example above, using home broadband would cause serious operational issues; many systems would simply not work.
Most business broadband providers will offer an inclusive static IP address which would significantly limit any geographic operational issues.
Speed & Download Limits
You need to ensure that you choose a package that is suitable for your needs. One key feature you may need to look for is the package upload speed. Many business systems will require data to be transmitted in two directions, so the upload speed is very important.
As you can see from our overview above there are many reasons for a business to choose business broadband. Hopefully we have enlightened you enough to make a decision as to whether you can get away with a domestic broadband connection or if you need to go with fully fledged business broadband.
