Regarded by many as the most technologically advanced console on the market, the PlayStation 3 is still the console for serious gamers. Games developers are still grappling with the challenge of making the most of the PlayStation 3’s processing power, but some of the games on this list bring to the screen graphical detail and sophisticated gameplay the like of which have never been seen before. These are the ten games we think you would do well to consider buying or borrowing. In no particular order.

> Civilization Revolution (2k Games): This game has been around in one form or another for 18 years, and this latest version is what its creator Sid Meier says is “the one I wanted to make”. An engrossing world-domination simulation, Civilization Revolution takes the series to new levels of graphical brilliance and gameplay. This console version removes some unnecessary complexities, and concentrates your mind on the idea the addictive challenge of guiding your clan from a bunch of ancient warriors to a powerful global force.

> Midnight Club: Los Angeles (Rockstar): The fourth installment in the Midnight Club series contains some of the most detailed cars ever seen in computer games. This highly regarded, immensely exciting urban racing game is packed with fantastic locations and beautiful cars. It’s also a difficult enough challenge for you to have to go through many, many hours of gameplay. The main protagonist in the game, known as “Player”, is asked by various shady characters to go on missions which, when completed, earn him a reputation and money.

> Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction (Sony): Although this is the seventh adventure for the loveable alien duo, this is the first time they have made an appearance on the PlayStation 3. An epic sci-fi adventure, the plot may not be as involving as some other games, but the controls of the game are perfectly tuned and there’s too much action going on for you to want to worry about the plot. The richly textured galaxy scenes and the buddy-buddy wise-cracking between the unlikely heroes makes this an all-round entertainer.

> Mirror’s Edge (EA): This underrated action thriller has an engrossing storyline and imaginative setting. It’s an innovative and highly stylised chase game that brings a new physicality to the first-person perspective, and it has the kind of cinematic style found in the best films. Mirror’s Edge may find a larger audiences if future versions involve more gameplay, as one of the reasons why it was underrated was because it’s possible to finish it in a few days. But if you’re looking for something won’t take forever to get to the end, this game is for you.

> Red Faction – Guerrilla (THQ): This well designed third-person sci-fi blaster has the kind of superficial storyline that many gamers find interesting if they think about it, but there’s too much going on to be able to think too deeply. The action scenes are right up there with the best games released in recent years. Set amid a bloody revolution on the planet Mars, the destructive environments are incredible fun, as are the amazingly powerful weapons.

> Valkyria Chronicles (Sega): This cleverly devised, popular game is set up as a deep, tactical role-playing scenario-based strategy challenge, and if you’re not familiar or have never played the Final Fantasy series, you will find this a real eye opener. Set on a warring continent not unlike 1930s Europe, you play the part of a meek and mild engineer who sees the war unfold while behind enemy lines. The story of oppression and honour is surprisingly involving, and will have you engrossed for many days.

> inFamous (Sony): It may not have enjoyed the mega-success that it expected when it released this game, but Sony has at least shown again that it can make games that have an interesting storyline and involve great action. A massive explosion hits the fictional Empire City, and the character that you control finds that he has super powers as a result. So, inevitably, battle a variety of deadly comic book-style villains. It’s an intriguing sci-fi romp and is one of a new generation of open-world action adventures.

> Ninja Gaiden Sigma (Tecmo): As with most games that require some time to learn the controls for the fight system, your efforts will be rewarded with precise and exciting gameplay. The fictional story involves your character, a Ninja, who has to recover a sword and avenge the massacre of his clan by the evil Vigor Empire. Brutal combat scenes pepper the whole game and the weapons are more powerful than you expect and the moves are more extravagant than you thought they would be.

> Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood (Ubisoft): Some gamers say this is slightly flawed offering, but hasn’t stopped vast hordes of gamers from taking it up and enjoying it all the same. The gamers who appreciate it regard it as an extremely atmospheric Wild West shooter, filled with exciting shootouts, swaggering outlaws and convincing John Ford-esque locales. If you’re tired of the second world war and the Middle East, it’s a mightily refreshing change of pace.

> Condemned II: Bloodshot (Sega Europe): This is a truly gruesome first-person shooter following an alcoholic serious crimes investigator, Ethan Thomas, on the hunt for serial killers in the back alleys of Metro City. According to one reviewer in The Guardian, “If you’re after gore, violence and, well, more gore, you really shouldn’t miss this. Your children very much should, though.”

No character has got more popularity than that of Sonic The Hedgehog. His beautiful avatar magnetized all the teenagers and they fell in love with that character. This is what Sony was waiting for. Sony wanted to have a trademark character that could sky-rocket the sales of their games series. This was actually in reaction to Wii game series whose character was Mario which became immensely popular among all gamers. I recently came across the television program 30 Days while flipping through the channels on a lazy Sunday night. Create and hosted by Morgan Spurlock (the man responsible for the deliciously horrifying Super Size Me), the show follows individuals put into various specific situations for a period of 30 days. One episode features an atheist being sent to live with a very religious family. Another presents an abortion rights activist spending time with a pro-life group. The episode I came across that particular evening featured another controversial subject – that of gun control.

The installment followed a fervent gun control supporter to a part of rural America in which guns played a big role in everyday life. I watched on as the two sides of the issue of guns in America were personified in a polite battle on network TV.

Though I personally find myself leaning heavily toward the side of stricter gun control laws, I could not help but be moved by the story of one man the anti-gun protagonist visited. The man had protected and defended his family, shooting a murderous intruder on a killing spree. I had always heard the stories of firearms-as-self-defense gone wrong, but I had never heard of such a situation going right.

After watching the man tearfully recount his story, I couldn’t help but wonder whether guns could be a legitimate tool for home security.

We employ all sorts of tactics and use several types of mechanisms in protecting our homes. We put extra locks on our doors and windows, warn of guard dogs in our front yards and start up neighborhood watch programs where we live. Many homeowners go as far as to install home alarm systems and home security systems in order to protect themselves from potential attackers outside. These are all very good, safe forms of home security. That said, could I accept firearms as a legitimate addition to this list?

To a certain extent, guns do provide an immediate self-defense tool. They require no wait time like a 911 call or home alarm activation. Furthermore, the Constitution gives Americans the right to bear arms, and the purchase of a gun for self-defense is a way to put one’s safety into his or her own hands. Nevertheless, the statistics are disturbing. Curious children die every day in gun accidents. Moments of confusion and fear cause homeowners to shoot their loved ones. Could having a gun in my home be a security option, or did the downfalls outweigh the benefits?

After considering the man’s heart wrenching story, I found myself influenced but not changed. If gun laws were always stricter, if locks were always standard, if parents were always careful, maybe I would change my mind. But this is simply not the case. In my home, at least, there will be no guns for protection. I think that for now I’ll let my locks and my home alarm do the job and leave the gun-toting to others.

Home security can be a complicated issue. Let the experts at ADT home security guide you along the way.

It was the Rockstar North who developed the video game entitled Grand Theft Auto 4. This action pack adventure game is also known as the GTA IV. The Grand Theft Auto games have over a total of nine series and GTA IV is the ninth one.

The one which came before GTA IV is named GTA San Andreas. The game GTA IV was released with versions of Xbox and PlayStation 3 in April 2008. It is on this same release date when the game was released in America and Europe.

Months later, it was also released in Japan on the 30th of October 2008. Eventually, the game was released in the Windows version on December 2, 2008.

As we move to the game, you will learn that the Grand Theft Auto 4 was set in an imaginary Liberty city. When compared to the previous games, the version of the city existing in this game is different and completely redesigned. The city portrays the real New York as its inspiration and other things that go on in the city.

The protagonist of the game is a war veteran named Niko Bellic. Since his country is not specified, what we know about him is that he came from some country in Eastern Europe.

When this man comes to America in quest for the American Dream, he gets caught up in seedy dealings and affairs with the underworld in the city. What can one found in the city are numerous sort of vices that you can imagine like corruption, murder, etc. He gets pulled into a net of crimes and gangs and thus unable to come out.

The good part of the game is that you can undergo different experiences while playing it such as being a first person shooter, a third person shooter, and you can ride your car and what not. Those who have played a few of the versions of Grand Theft Auto may know precisely what I am talking about.

In fact the gaming experience that can be attained by any player of Grand Theft Auto 4 is the “open-world” game play which permits the players an enormous amount of hold over the playing experience. With your friends around the globe, you will all certainly enjoy the game for its mode has about fifteen game types and is available online with a multiple player.

Grand Theft Auto 4 is a game ever developed that broke all records of the gaming industry leading to its major critical success. After it was sold about more than for million on the first of release, anyone can say how big a commercial success the game is. There was about six million copies sold worldwide and over five million dollars was earned in its first week alone.

Until the sixteenth of August, the game had sold over ten million copies according to a consensus. This is not a heresy because when you come across to see the ranking charts of the MobyGames and the TopTenReviews, the Grand Theft Auto 4 is proven to be the highest rated game.

Choosing GTA 4 is the best choice as you wait for the next game to come. Get yours and experience a different level by playing this game.

It was Bungie who developed the shooter video game Halo 3. The game is designed for Xbox version only, a shooter experience game in first person. This is the third part in the entire series of Halo games as you can determine from its name.

This is the latest as well as the last part of the entire series. It is said that it is a closing sequel of the game. It is a continuous story from Halo 1 to Halo 2 as the combat evolved. With Halo 3, the story will come to an end. The ending the story has something do with the story begun in Halo 1.

The Halo 3 was released simultaneously for public playing in selected countries like New Zealand, Australia, Brazil, North America, India and Singapore on September 25, 2007. The game was released in Europe the next day, September 26.

In Japan, the game was also released but in a date that was not revealed. The game had sold four millions of copies in various retail outlets not to include other means of sale that is if counted will add to its sale.

It is about war between the human beings and a group of alien to which the story of Halo 3 revolves, it is an interstellar war. The action of the game took place in the twenty sixth century with the United Nations Space Command as the head the humanity.

Humans in combat are in struggle against the aliens known as the Covenant. You will be interested how the story of the game progresses in that century.

The player of the Halo 3, the Master Chief, is a type of super soldier. He is superior in that century and the entire game is displayed through his perspective. His duty can be likened to that of a knight in shining armour that comes and strives to save the entire humanity from the encroachment of the Covenant.

In this quest, the Marines (humans) along with another alien race who call themselves the Elites help the protagonist. Apparently, they are the enemies of the Covenant, too. To extinguish the Covenant, Arbiter, the leader of this race, joins hands with the Master Chief.

You will be amazed in this new version of Halo 3 in a sense that the entire series of Halo games has undergone remarkable changes. The vehicles, the weapons, and even the concept executed in this game is relatively different compared to the previous versions.

It is until the date of January 3, 2008, the game has sold more than eight million and no wonder about it.

The game is indeed very popular and worth to play. Have you own copy, you will never regret it.

At this point here at How To Get Wii Points, the main topic of discussion has so far been the procedure in order to obtain Wii Points as well as how many games exist that you can spend the wii points to get. Onward I will continue further in the depths to find out exactly thathow many is.

Many suburb games have been topics of discussion within older postings within the How To Get Wii Points site, however the posting you are now proceeding to read is going to narrow it down in further detail into the various gaming types or “genres”, how they can be described as well as if spending wii points in order to get the ones contained within the Wii Shop Channel.

In the channel there can be found a great deal of Role-Playing Games that you could consider spending wii points on. Allow myself to mention this concept right from the very start. A few have been made rather well known as well and we are positive that you’ve heard, at least, of some of them. Nearly all of the games produced; everywhere from The Legend of Zelda right to the original Paper Mario game. However, Nintendo has made available many other games that were once on differing consoles some of which you might not be able to remember to well. The fact is of importance to comprehend which kind of Role-Playing Game’s that you like best of all from the beginning as you figure out in what was you will be spending Wii Points within this gaming type.

Videogames like the ones currently spoken of such as Zelda would be the games considered action Role-Playing Games, in these types of games the protagonist adventures around the screen ridding enemies with weapons of varying sort. Paper Mario, which is contained within the genre of similar games, plays such as more recognized Role-Playing Games in which the player can decide the path taken as well as find out what would happen because of this.
