Warcraft is stuffed with a vast array of different top mods for World of Worcraft gamers to capitalize on and heighten their overall experience. Actually, the words “Mod”, “AddOn” or “UI” are often utilized interchangeably in the WoW community. Collectively they relate to anything that pertains to “Modifications” or “Adds On” to the original core “User Interface” designed by Blizzard Entertainment (maker of World of Warcraft). The modifications may lend more features and information or may simply be superficial enhancements that give color choices or just modify the positioning of how and where items appear on the screen. Some mods are more practical and easier to use than others, but selecting what’s best boils down to what aspect of game skills you want to improve. Ultimately, most top mods enable you to become more effective at acquiring more gold, one of the essential WoW objectives. The following 6 top mods are often viewed the most popular mods according to the general demand and popularity of veteran game players.

1. Quest Helper

Perhaps the most popular mod available for use with World of Worcraft is Quest Helper. It is considered by many as the most effective leveling mod available to add value to the game. It’s famous for its expansive database that helps maneuver you in the precise direction you wish to advance. In addition, it will also compute the most efficient path for you to travel so you can rapidly move up in levels while executing all of your quests.

2. Deadly Boss

Deadly Boss is a top mod that’s almost mandatory for making the most of your Warcrafte adventure. It gives you sweeping information on all aspects of boss fights.. You will be able to capitalize on raid warnings and bar timers as well as explaining what to anticipate on each boss in the game. It is the perfect tool to assist you in moving up in levels.

3. Cartographer

Cartographer is an especially appropriate mod for gamers with a acute interest in all of the maps offered in World of Warcraft. Scientifically, cartography is considered to be the “art of map making”. As of this writing, Cartographer 3.0 is the latest version available and it is free!

4. Recount

Recount is another highly functional tool you’ll want to download because of its exquisitely designed graphical damage meter. Damage and healing that occur during a raid is tracked live, and this top mod crunches the numbers into graphs for convenient assessment. Most Warcrafte gamers find the graphs extremely accurate and easy to use.

5. AtlasLoot Enhanced

AtlasLoot Enhanced is a tool you should look at because it handily allows you to closely monitor the loot tables for all WoW bosses. It’s also valuable because it shows drop rates for you while simultaneously permitting you to link any items in all chat channels.

6. CTMod

CTMod is actually a block of mods that perform several management functions like mailing options, expense history and timer functions. The cluster can be equated to the functionality of the Firefox web browser and it’s many add-ons. There is one single center mod from which other mods can be added and removed. So the CTMod bundle can be made up of only the core mod or a combination of the core and as many or as few of the supplementary components as is needed.

It’s obvious from these six top mods alone, the options available to World of Warcraft gamers are broad, varied and very pragmatic. So whether it is AtlasLoot Enhanced, Quest Helper or CTMod, the most valuable mods ultimately aid you to be more proficient so you can garner more gold and move up faster.

Before I reveal what they are, I should admit that knowing them reveals a certain part of my character. Some of these cheats I have tried while others I have gathered information concerning from other players. You wouldn’t believe just how many players cheat in Travian and mess up their accounts as a result.

· Running Multiple Accounts: Many new players think that if they run more than one account they will be able to get ahead like the top players. Resources are scarce at the beginning of the game unless you are farming 24/7. Stick with it though, because you don’t want to be caught by the Multi-Hunter. The punishment for this “crime” usually involves having your secondary account deleted and cutting your population by 25 – 50%.

· Pushing Resources: This cheat is almost as common as the former. As a server draws toward end game players quit. Those players’ accounts are often salvaged by other players who want to use their resources. This punishment usually results in a 1 – week ban. Everything is frozen until the ban is lifted and you can resume playing.

· Another very common form of cheating is using browser scripts. These scripts run automated bots that build fields, buildings and move your troops at specific times. As far as I know the punishment for using these is a complete 100% account ban. I have never met anyone who ran into this problem since the scripts are very difficult for the Travian team to detect.

These 3 cheats are the most common ones that players (often inexperienced ones) turn to when they think they need to cheat in order to ‘make the cut’ and rise to the higher ranks. Nothing can be further from the truth.

From the original to the Xbox 360, the Premium and the Elite, all Microsoft’s Xbox game units can be accessorized with many wonderful add-ons and gadgets.

Controllers

The original xbox controller, also referred to as the “Duke” was relatively large and bulky compared to other video game controllers and has since its release been replaced by the Microsoft Controller S, a top of the line gadget which delivers a consistent and universal gaming experience.

The ergonomically improved Xbox 360 Controller now features an extended cable, or can even be wireless. This controller also has a centralized, glowing Xbox Guide Button, which grants quick access to stored game, music, and digital movie libraries. The ultimate in gamer flexibility, comfort, precision, control, and quality, controllers are no longer restricted to black and white, but can now be purchased in various colors.

Headphones

Headphones are an excellent idea for Xbox fans who live in an apartment, dorm, or other noise restricted dwelling. Most sets feature an adjustable microphone for Xbox Live play and also let you hear chat and game sounds in both ears, rather than one. This allows you to immerse yourself completely into the gaming experience.
Xbox headphones are not limited to an Xbox, but can also be used on other devices. On the other hand, some ordinary headphones may not work on an Xbox. In that case, buy an Xbox headphone converter. Just plug it into the controller and any common headphone, or earphone set will be compatible.

Steering Wheels

With an eye on the future, several car manufacturers invented joystick driven, futuristic-looking vehicles, and although very curious about the concept, most people still prefer a regular steering wheel to navigate their cars. For that reason, Xbox gaming systems can be complimented with easy-to-use steering wheels, giving the serious competitive game players a relentless and unparalleled racing experience.
Powerful and cutting edge, the Xbox 360 Wireless racing wheel is a technological masterpiece that stands out with its sleek design and functionality.

Arcade Sticks and Light Guns

If you are an air combat fan, or are more comfortable with a joystick than a gamepad, a decent arcade-style game stick should make it onto your birthday or Christmas wish list.
For those who feel nothing beats blasting away at an enemy, beware, only a handful of Xbox games are compatible with light guns. If you do decide to get a weapon, do your research first before going on a shopping spree.

Remote control

If you want to enjoy the new world of digital entertainment on your Xbox, you need a remote. With the touch of a single button, a Universal Media Remote will play movie and music DVDs, plus control your TV and Media Center PC. The Xbox 360 supports progressive scan for DVD playback functionality and the remote includes a button for opening and closing the DVD tray. A backlit and numbered keypad grants full functionality, even in the dark.

Other Accessories

- Experience digital high definition movies and games, at up to 1080p resolution, through the Xbox 360 HDMI Cable.
- Make chatting with friends and family on Xbox LIVE easy by using the Xbox 360 Messenger Kit. While using the kit you can maintain game-play functionality.
- Expand your Xbox 360 experience through a 120GB Hard Drive. The Xbox 360 120GB Hard Drive includes a data transfer kit to effortlessly transfer all your saved data from your old to your new hard drive.
- Memory sticks are a great way to save or transport data and games.
- Running low on power while you are fighting the enemy can be quite devastating. The Xbox 360 Play and Charge Kit comes complete with charging cable and rechargeable battery pack and will let you juice up your wireless controller even in the midst of an invasion.

The list of Xbox accessories is endless and which accessories are right for you will greatly depend on the Xbox system you own, and what games you like to play.
If current accessories are not what you are looking for, and you are highly competitive and tech-savvy, you could tune-up your equipment to achieve better game results. You could also just sit back and wait. Microsoft technicians are feverishly working around the clock to create the next revolutionary device to will bring the gaming experience to a higher level.

Ace Mega Games store specialises in xbox. Not only xbox, but also pre modded wii, pre modded play station and pre modded game cube.

Aion: The Tower of Eternity is a visually stunning massively multiplayer online role-playing game featuring cutting-edge imagery, breath-taking environments, and a unique world of fantasy. Gamers play a pivotal role in the fate of Atreia, where flying takes on a completely new role and the enemy is not only the other player faction, but a deadly ancient evil as well.

In this gameplay, The Tower of Eternity exists as a gateway into the deep chasm, and acts as a portal between dimensions. When a great evil opens the gateways, it awakens the Dragons imprisoned within the Abyss, who seek revenge on both worlds. It is here that an epic conflict begins, as players take their first steps on a journey to bring salvation to the world. In this ethereal world, gamers will have the power to direct dynamic relationships between angels, demons and dragons to control the fate of the world.

The game will also allow a player to reuse the graphic of a weapon or armor that they like and craft it with the statistics of a different item. This adds another layer of customization and strategy and allows players to control the look of their avatar without sacrificing the better stats of an item that they find visually unattractive.

Players can create their own distinct history and will have their names forever recorded in fame or infamy. There are four primary classes, and eight specialized classes in the game. Players start the game by choosing one of the four primary classes: Warrior, Mage, Scout, or Priest. After attaining level 10, the players are given the choice to choose from the two specialized classes associated with that base class. This allows players to get a feel for the playstyle of the class before making a major decision as to which class to play for the rest of the game.

In short, Aion The Tower of Eternity is a game that has no cultural boundaries, and will offer an art style, gripping story and game strategy that will remain through the ages and be appreciated by a global audience.

The Escapist has posted an article on “The Secret of WoW” which is an in-depth look at the many many reasons why people still play World of Warcraft. The article also makes suggestions to new developers about what they need to include to take on the giant! As is known to all, a wow player has to own enough wow gold to buy more useful weapons, equipments, etc. So, many game players are thirst to know about how to get wow gold in game. As the leading supplier where over 10,000 of wow gold buying orders have been finished, we have a team of veteran wow players specializing in farming wow gold for sale.

The author points out the obvious skew in the industry when he says, “Ten million subscribers. At $15 a month each, that comes to $150 million a month and 1.8 billion a year. If you could capture just one in ten WoW users and get them to jump to your MMO, you’d be a massive success by industry standards”.

Here’s a look at the article, take a look and reply with your comments below:

If I had a double bacon cheeseburger for every forum post titled “Why do people [still] play World of Warcraft?” then I would have died of a coronary a year before The Burning Crusade went into beta. Now, mostly these posts are from basic internet-level malcontents and trolls, or people who can’t grasp the idea of different people having different personal tastes. But I want to take the question seriously for a minute, partly so that you can just drop a link to this article the next time one of those threads appears, but mostly because I think that hopeful MMO game designers might be asking themselves the same thing.

Ten million subscribers. At $15 a month each, that comes to $150 million a month and 1.8 billion a year. If you could capture just one in ten WoW users and get them to jump to your MMO, you’d be a massive success by industry standards. I know you want to. Here is my advice for the next developer who comes along with a head full of ideas and dollar signs in his eyes:

Broad System Requirements

The WoW juggernaut proves that graphics take a backseat to gameplay for most players. Your game doesn’t need to look like 8-bit warmed over, but it does need to scale down gracefully to the low end of the spectrum if you want to take a bite out of the WoW user base. Yes, sexy screenshots help at launch day, but if the game looks wrong and runs slow on the average machine then you’re destined to be a minor player in the MMO world.

Social Tools

MMO games are social by nature, but WoW benefits a great deal because people join simply because that’s what all of their friends are playing. Stomping around Northrend with your friends is a perfectly legitimate way to spend an evening. You can joke and gossip and bitch about work and school while sitting around your favorite restaurant, or you can have the same conversation while fighting a Flesh Giant or traversing Zul’Drak. I know the average MMO looks like an RPG with a chat bar, but there’s a lot more going on here than just chat. If you want to knock WoW off its perch, you need a way to make that Northrend conversation as seamless as possible. You need to give players lots of tools to acquire and connect with friends while filtering out irritants and idiots.

Strategic Combat

People dismiss WoW as a “mindless clickfest” but the truth is that the game is not multiplayer Diablo. The game feeds you new combat abilities at a steady rate, so that a new one opens up just as your existing skill set is starting to feel a little tired. There are a lot of different enemies that require different approaches. The combat will get old eventually, but for people that like combining powers and experimenting with different character builds it can offer many hours of entertainment. Your upcoming WoW-killer needs to be able to offer a variety of combat experiences, from complex hot-key driven action strategy (Rogues in WoW) to casual point-and-click for people who like to play while watching American Idol. (Hunters in WoW.)

Exploration

What few MMOs seem to grasp is that being able to walk from one end of a massive gameworld to the other is deeply satisfying to people with a sense of wanderlust, and the effect is often ruined if you break the world up into little playpens connected by loading screens. WoW has many different areas with unique music, mood, lighting, monsters, architecture, cities, wildlife, and flora. There is a ton of content to consume here, and lots of players derive satisfaction from taking the world tour. The game creates the impression that there’s always another cool landmark or impressive vista just over the horizon. If you want people to stick with your game, you need to give them stuff to look at. A lot of stuff. It’s not about square mileage, it’s about seamless variety and spectacle.

Gathering

The idea of traveling a gameworld and picking up stuff has been with us more or less since the dawn of gaming. Maybe it’s our hunter-gatherer instincts. Maybe we just like finding treasure. Whatever the reason, people love acquiring great big heaps of loot, and WoW has a large number of ways to do that. Gathering herbs, mining, fishing, and skinning are all ways to line your backpack with cool stuff without ever needing to fight anything. The treasure is just laying around the world and all you have to do is get out there and pick it up. You need your game to entice people to play it by drawing them into the wilderness with a trail of useful resource goodies.

It may look like players just stand around killing monsters over and over (because they are) but that’s not the heart of the game and not the source of motivation. Give the player lots of goals and you’ll go a long way to making a game they never want to quit. Then sit back and let the cash roll in, you greedy, life-sucking, career-ruining, homewrecking bastards.

As the leading supplier where over 10,000 of cheap wow gold buying orders have been finished, we have a team of veteran wow players specializing in farming wow gold for sale. Wow gold farming is a time-consuming job and really costs your efforts. If you want more fun in game but being not willing to go through this tough process, you are suggested to buy wow gold from a trustworthy wow gold store.

Games have always had a special sort of magic to them – when a person plays a game, they can be anyone or anything; all other aspects of your life simply don’t matter when you happen to be playing a game. It’s just you, your opponent (in some cases, opponents), and the game. The object of the game is winning, and having fun while doing so. And even as you have fun, your mind is sharpened and you learn new things. This is why so many people are so enamored with the thought of playing nowadays – it is part of keeping their minds healthy. Some people, however, take it a step further: they decide that modern games make it far too easy for people to take the games lightly. This is why they take it upon themselves to track down and perhaps preserve the older games so that they would not only be able to give the history of games due respect, but they will also be able to challenge themselves by learning some of the older, defunct games of the past.

Board games, arcade games, card games and even video games have had antique incarnations that some hardcore game players are itching to try and learn. These antique games are more often than not reflective of the popular culture of the time, another reason why they can be such challenges – the challenge being incredibly attractive to players who like pushing themselves. The wonderful thing about old games is that they are sophisticated in the sense that they do not necessarily spoon-feed the players as most modern games do. They, some would claim, have a better sense of magic than the games we have today.

The Nintendo Wii is a great device and can be a lot of fun. Proper precautions should be taken though while utilizing the device to prevent any injuries. Nintendo is continually innovating and the Nintendo Wii is a prime example of what this dedication to gaming progress can yield. Be patient, shop around and have a good time gaming. The Nintendo Wii is a great little game console, sure to occupy you for countless hours either playing Wii Sports or Twilight Princess. Going away from the “games only” approach of previous Nintendo consoles, the Wii is also a quite capable photo viewer.

The good thing for you is that the Nintendo Wii is highly anticipated, and should not have any problems living up to the hype. On the other side of things there is a major drawback that you will have to contend with. The Nintendo Wii is a highly evolved gaming system which has barely shown its capabilities. Nintendo has introduced a new way of playing games that is fun for the whole family.

Under Miyamoto’s creative direction Nintendo has never had a problem coming up with great games. But that’s not necessarily a good thing for the company. Miyamoto and Nintendo president Satoru Iwata are going to try to change that. But they’re going to do it in the weirdest, riskiest way you could think of.

Toadwarrior – You seem to forget that the video game console market was growing at a very healthy clip already before the Wii even launched. The “old model” of selling to “hard core” gamers works just fine as the number of “hard core” gamers has grown exponentially in the past 10 years (not even factoring in the Wii). As long as PS3 and XBOX do not make remotes like Wii (the remote handling is Wii’s main unique differentiator) – Wii will always get their target market -> family-based and simple game players. Wii also should always develop new and interesting games to fire up the Wii lovers’ spirit, including mine! Maybe they’re scared to lose control of the direction the market is heading? Or maybe they want to take things slow.

Released and launched in November 19, 2006, the Nintendo Wii finally hit the market with a fixed price. Yes, the Nintendo Wii price just targets $249.99, allowing the people to obtain the product without spending more than $250. However, many third-party developers simply take advantage of the console’s popularity and flood the market with copies of games originally designed for last-generation’s PlayStation 2. The result is an inundation of graphically unimpressive games with wiimote controls added on purely for novelty. Now high console demand isn’t anything new to the gaming market. The spiffy new releases for consoles generally come in waves, with large amounts of concentration on late spring/early summer (or the end of school), and early fall (or the beginning of school).

But the Wii, which is being marketed as the ideal system for newbies, made me feel like an incompetent novice. I don’t blame myself. Nintendo built the hype for their console by marketing a new control scheme which only they can seem to get to work properly. They then targeted small children, the elderly, and people with IQ’s fewer than 85 telling them that they can be gamers to. A gen-2 Wii with the features, power and video quality of a PS3 at a $600 price point could survive and continue to dominate the market if it has backward compatibility. I think that’s the main thing that hurt the PS3– PS2 compatibility took a while to work out and now costs a little more than the non-compatible system.

And it was never marketed any other way. If that bothers you, no worries. This just magnifies the focus on the struggle between the other two next-generation consoles on the market: Sony’s PlayStation 3 and Microsoft’s Xbox 360. In the months of January and February, the PlayStation 3 had just barely managed to outsell its competitor, but this month Microsoft managed to prevent a three-peat by just 5,000 units. I’ve been a game designer, pixel artist, painter, tools designer, product manager and marketing guy. I got my first job while in college working on a shooter called Tyrian at a little company called Epic Megagames.
Wii?s underlying technology is not really new (accelerometers and infrared controls have been around for years), but Nintendo has constructed one of the first convincing mass-market applications of a gestural interface. And the experience of playing, for those who were lucky enough to get one, is buttery and seductive. Other articles cover financing, marketing, growth strategies, and more. The Playstation was Sony?s first attempt into joining the home console market. Originally planned to be an add on to the SNES, it was scrapped by Nintendo as they left their partnership with Sony.

Currently, there are two popular games on the market that complement the Wii Fit balance board. Both offer a personalized approach to fitness to help you reach your personalized goals. Several varieties of memory sticks with different storage capacities are now available on the market. The largest memory stick available so far has 8 gigabytes storing capacity. The display quality is better than any other product in the market. The sound system comprises of powerful speakers and woofers that make your gaming experience an unforgettable one.
On the flip side, Nintendo has been doing extremely well in the portable console market, with its GameBoy series dominating the landscape. Even the arrival of Sony’s PSP hasn’t dented Nintendo’s dominance in this arena: while the PSP and DS battle it out for first place, the lower-powered GameBoy Advance continues to rake in the cash. If you are looking where to find Wii in stock , then visit to to see new and used cheap Wii consoles and games.

It involves an initial recommendation by one of five administrative law judges on whether there has been a violation of a certain section of the Trade Act, followed by a final decision. For gamers, one of the hardest decisions is which console to buy: each offers games and features you won’t get from the others. If you’ve got a thousand dollars or so to fritter away, I say get them all.
Nintendo is billing the Wii, their entry into the latest round of next-generation video game console wars, as something different. Sporting a low price and a completely different kind of controller, it is different on the outside. The Wii is the most compact of the next-generation consoles. It weighs just 2.7 pounds and measures 8.5 inches long by 6 inches wide by less than 2 inches thick. That’s a slight increase from about four years ago, when the previous generation of game consoles peaked, Harrison says. Seniors have “opened up the aperture of people who previously would’ve not considered themselves to be gamers,” he says.
This RSS form will generate the needed code that you simply plug in on any web page and it will grab the feeds and display them for you. It’s as easy as that. Game consoles are generally tended to kids but Nintendo Wii Games can be family affairs, they have the range. There’s even a menu channel for setting up personal profiles called Mii so involvement and participation can be even and well-matched regardless of age, gender and other conditions. But if you find that Orb has problems opening/playing various file formats, then please come back to this page and follow the instructions here to find a generic solution to most problems.
Just like console players in general need to accept the fact that RTS is for a PC, Wii players need to accept the fact that the system isn’t designed for fast-paced high-quality FPS. And that’s not necessarily a bad thing. A Star Wars mod added fiber-optic stars and a general space theme to the console shell, and changed the color of the LED light from standard blue to red. It’s not a broadsheet and generally it focuses on things that your lower-income brackets (without wanting to slander every person in that group as unintelligent) want to read, such as stuff about celebrities, ’scandals’, etc. Also, the articles are invariably short and fairly shallow (though not necessarily poorly researched).

This is the key to not just video game console buying but all online buying in general. The more you know the better off your will be. Although the Wii console primarily targets a demographic different to that of Microsoft’s Xbox 360 and Sony’s PlayStation 3, as part of the seventh generation of gaming consoles it competes with the other two on some levels. Even though these patients could still feel their flesh—they weren’t paraplegic—they could no longer use their flesh to generate feelings. And if you can’t produce the bodily symptoms of an emotion—the swelling tear ducts of sadness, or the elevated heart rate of fear—then you can’t feel the emotion.
Rather than having hardware for specific tasks, we are seeing hardware being used for generic tasks. PhysX on a GPU is a great example. Each time you change your preferences, a new link is generated, so you’ll need to update your subscription in whatever RSS reader application you are using.
They respond to your performance in the game, but can’t interact with Howie or the audience members. This means different motions can be performed with the controller and recognized by the system. For instance, wave the controller around like a sword and you can see a sword mirror these movements on screen. You must create your personal profile when you first use it by entering your age, weight, height, and by performing various tests. Once these are all complete, you get to choose a character that will represent you.

As this is a time-consuming task, it’s suggested that you perform this prior to making an order. Wii-playing residents scored 48 per cent higher on tool control and performance than those without the Wii warm-up. Nowadays you can download free applications (which run on modern computers – Windows, Mac, Linux, whatever you use) called emulators… these programs essentially duplicate and perform as retro computer hardware. Combined with a ROM file (which contains the original game, byte for byte), an emulator brings classic, obsolete video games back to life, and runs them exactly as they originally ran.
CEA represents more than 2,200 corporate members involved in the design, development, manufacturing, distribution and integration of consumer electronics products such as audio, photo, video and mobile electronics as well as communication, information technology, networks, multimedia and accessories. The Wiimote uses motion-sensor technology, limited force feedback capabilities, and Bluetooth to give gamers a more realistic way of playing. Instead of relying on a joystick or a button, gamers can, for instance, swing the Wiimote to replicate a tennis racket or rotate it to simulate a steering wheel. The heart of the system`s technology is a processing chip developed along with IBM and graphics chip from ATI. The processor chip is named as `Broadway` and the graphics chip is named as `Hollywood`.

The generally conception of WII is based on the wireless technology. They probably come with the most powerful remote controller that can act as a gun, a racket or as a bat according to the games that you choose to play in the video game console.
By some measure, it’s the best games trade site out there and I’m including the US ones, too. It’s a true must-read site, and several times a day at that. The GameCube sold only 21 million units during its less than spectacular run earlier this decade. The latest Mario game, Super Mario Galaxy, is reckoned by some to be the best ever and is perhaps the best Wii game to date. As the name suggests it is set in outer space where Mario has to travel from planet to planet solving puzzles and defeating enemies.
Traditional game consoles were mainly used by 20ish males, the Wii is used by everyone. So the potential for the traditional console was limited and there were only so many homes that it was likely to end up in. Yes, the whole process of creating video game consoles requires a lot of knowledge about electronics, motherboards, microchips, power sources and several details that most people don’t know about. But, fixing simple Wii errors doesn’t require any of that knowledge, and anyone can do it once they are told how. It is more fun when you play with other people and my son likes to set up a game for our entire family. Not only has it helped my son with back and forth turn taking it has brought our family together and back into the same room instead of being off doing our own thing.

He thinks that by March 2007 6 million Wii consoles and 17 million games will be sold worldwide. Iwata told that the profits of Nintendo won’t be any higher in this period. Non-typists and early gamers gravitated to the mouse as the device of choice. Many feel that a mouse gets the job done easier than typing on a keyboard and action-oriented games benefited from the fast, flexible movements of the joystick. Taking gaming beyond “gamers” is clearly just as much a passion for Nintendo as a business strategy. They aren’t strategizing for a novelty.
Obesity experts today slammed Nintendo after its Wii Fit game told a 10-year-old girl she was fat. They fear the game could damage children’s body image and called on the company to warn parents it is not suitable for their offspring. Nintendo Wii is Nintendo’s seventh-generation video game console which also called Nintendo Revolution due to the fact that the console has the official project code name of Revolution. The major feature of the Wii is the console’s wireless controller, the Wii Remote, that may be used as a handheld pointing device and can detect motion and rotation in three dimensions. Game systems nowadays are capable of doing many things that old style game consoles cannot. I try to share as freely as I am able but this site that I am sharing is just awesome so if you want to see what the Nintendo Wii can do then go to this site.
The console is roughly twice as powerful as a GameCube, putting it in horsepower territory beyond Xbox, but well shy of Xbox 360. Tech specs do not tell the whole story, which is probably why Nintendo itself has chosen not to provide intricate breakdowns for Wii’s CPU and GPU. Instead of improving the affordability of the pastime with the increased volume, some of the new games actually require the purchase of add-ons and accessories such as the Balance Board in the Wii Fit package.Players will be able to add four undisclosed new characters and two new stages to the already large roster included in the stand-alone game for only 10.00 USD.Customers will be even more pleased to discover that this particular package will be offered completely free of charge for the first month after the launch of Wii Want More.

In all honesty, however, the games didn’t look much better (if at all) than Xbox 360 ($300-400) titles, and similarly not different enough from Nintendo Wii (exp. Sony will have to rely on exclusive titles, such as Sega’s amazingly beautiful arcade game Virtua Fighter 5 (below), to convince people to shell out the big bucks for PS3 consoles. So everyone take off the safety strap and throw your remote and nunchuck through the wall.Grab your jolt and chips.Sit back down and play video games like god intended. If you do want to play GameCube games on your Nintendo Wii then another thing that you will have to purchase is a GameCube controller, if of course you don’t already own one. Obviously the controllers for the two consoles are completely different.
Some people will like the Nintendo Wii because the games have the look and feel that Nintendo has been famous for all these years. In addition, many people just enjoy those specific titles that Nintendo produces that have never been made available to other gaming system manufacturers. Survive nature’s most devastating catastrophes in Disaster: Day of Crisis, a panic inducing survival game for Wii. In a devastatingly short period of time, an unprecedented wave of natural disasters has pummeled the United States. Microsoft’s Miis are designed to be associated with any game that incorporates the controller and create a standard “look” for the games. Playing the Xbox game increased the average to 107. Wii tennis consumed 179 calories per hour, and Wii boxing 174 Initially, it chose the codename “Revolution” for its new game console. Then, the “Revolution” gave way to a full-scale world war. It’s a great concept and it really comes through wonderfully in the game play.

Nintendo would have been stupid to leave one of their biggest crossover titles – that is, titles with appeal to both new and core gamers – on the sidelines with their new console and their new approach to gaming. The real question, though, is whether City Folk would deliver the kind of experience the first Animal Crossing and the follow-up DS title Wild World did. If you’re really good, practice both the tightrope game and the highly entertaining hula-hoop challenge! The games are inserted into the Wii and then loaded into the top left corner of the Wii Channel menu. A cursor on the screen is controlled by moving the Wii remote and actually pointing at different menu choices on the screen.

I’m referring to games with graphics that rival those of Starfox for the SuperNES or the original Wolfenstein 3D for the PC. This is the first in a three-part article that will help you achieve just that. Will Sony keep its first place among gamers? Or will the relatively new XBox be a worthy oponent? Players can test their accuracy by shooting at a range of targets on the game board. Initiate up to three balls in simultaneous action and quickly earn points to reach the next level of play.

First of all, buying anything – whether it’s a treadmill, exercise videos, or a Thighmaster – is not going to get you into shape alone. A lot of people fall into the habit of thinking they can find a quick fix cure for their weight problems. The PS3 has now improved its classic remote control system with the Siaxis version, by adding special sensors, which follow the leaning and tilting movements of the person playing the video game. Unfortunately there is no other video or audio support at all.
In that context, Nintendo Wii Video Games are made for the occasion with their unique gaming experience and they don’t have to cost a bomb anymore either. Yes, these games are now downloadable from the Internet essentially free of charge.
The console also will apparently feature only standard AV cables. Wii does NOT play DVDs and doesn’t include a hard drive, which means you’ll likely have to buy additional memory. Many people buy gaming consoles and try to sell it online .
The largest aggregator of online casual games, has announced its new Nintendo Wii Internet game destination, Knibble Wii , offering over 5,000 Wii-friendly games. This debut marks one of the largest Nintendo Wii compatible content releases ever. Two and a half years into its lifespan, it is still almost continually sold out , both at retail and online. Two of the biggest keys to the system’s success and appeal to the masses are its relatively low price ($250 at launch, compared to the $400-600 price points of the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360) and intuitive, motion-sensing controls that make games very natural for gamers and nongamers alike to get the hang of.

One of the most popular computer games of all time is Warcraft. Many incarnations of the game have come and gone over the years. One of the most recent one is called World of Warcraft (WOW). In this massive multi-player game, players are assigned the task of building and developing a character of a specific race to pit against the evil minions of the world.

An expansion game for WOW is called Burning Crusade. Within it players can choose from a variety of races including the Blood Elves. With the Burning Crusade Blood Elves, players are taking control of a long standing, proud army of stoic warriors.

The Blood Elves’ history is steeped in slaughter and bloodshed, hence their name. Born of the High Elf kingdom, these noble creatures were once a powerful part of the now lost land of Sunwell. When the mad Prince Arthas invaded their land and resurrected the Lich Kel-Thuzad, he decimated their people, nearly destroying the entire race.

But not all were killed. The survivors were hardened by this harrowing experience and thus became a darker version of their former selves. Learning from one of the last remaining of the royal bloodline named Kael, they began descending into an even darker escapade of their history. They began tapping into the mystic energy of demonic origin and are now shunned by most of their kin.

Much before this changing of their nature, the high elves were considered outcasts from the Alliance and left their original homeland in search of something else. Thus began the dwelling in Sunwell.

They were determined to create a life for themselves, a new beginning.

Their power and influence grew as they settled into their new home, drawing much power from the Sunwell’s mystical energies. They fed on this power, using it to develop their powers to defend themselves from many of the harsh inhabitants of the world around them.

But this hardship strengthened those that survived, making them the powerful Burning Crusade Blood Elves they are today. This is an army worthy of commitment while playing the game of Warcraft. It is a proud history and one that should be thought of with reverence and honor.

Blood Elves are a race that requires a bit more finesse than the hard changing orcs for example or the slowing but relentless undead. Use their powerful magic to your advantage. Whatever party you join in this huge sprawling multi-player world will benefit from your skills.

There are many classes available to Blood Elf players. Choose one that fits your style of play as you will spend many hours in this WOW: Burning Crusade.

The author Mark Davis is the manager of a website which provides a concise but great review of the WOW horde leveling guides. It is a review is of the top world of warcraft games guides out there today. Make sure that you read this review before you buy any WOW guide.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine is an action adventure game that has been loosely based on the film that shares the same name for its title. The game is scheduled to be released on May 1st 2009 to coincide with the release of the film and the game will be released on all major platforms.

The storyline of the game is made up 90% from events that take place in the movie but also has a high focus on the original story that was created by raven software. The primary story is the back-story of Wolverine and as you progress through the game you will uncover his origins and play through different moments in his life. The story begins from his birth in the mid 1880’s and spans all the way up to his military service and recruitment into the Weapon X program.

The creators of ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine the video game’ say the game has been influenced by titles such as ‘God of War’ and ‘Devil May Cry’ and throughout game play the player should expect to see a lot of blood and gore.

The creators of this video game have addressed a lot of issues that were present in previous Wolverine games with the most noticeable being the lack of regeneration. In this new game, players will see the character of Wolverine heal in real-time which will allow you to see his muscles and skin grown back once they have been damaged. If Wolverine takes enough damage the player will be able to see directly through to his adamantium skeleton.

The combat system in the game relies on the player utilising Wolverine’s adamantium claws to slice and dice his enemies through a combination of attacks. The player can also utilise the scenery and allow Wolverine to impale his enemies on spikes.

As previously mentioned the game will be released on all major platforms including the PS3 and Xbox 360. Exclusive deals and versions of the game are available to those who shop online with bonus features said to be included.

Nolan Bushnell was originally an electrical engineer and he founded a company called Atari Inc. He has also been in the top 50 of Newsweek’s ‘Men That Changed America’ so back in the US they also recognised that his work and creative genius started something of a legacy.

Nolan commented on his accolade, ‘I am humbled to be selected for this honour. The British people are not only great game players but have historically been some of the best game creators. The pub culture and country house drawing room environments have been instrumental in spawning games and game players through the centuries. I am very grateful to receive an award from the people with a history of creating and embracing this type of entertainment.’

In 1972 Pong was released and was one of the first arcade machine games, based upon tennis it became an instant success with the simplistic game play and completely addictive nature. It took America by storm and the world followed, it was reputed that in the US they had to mint extra coins as there was a shortage because of the amount being put into Pong’s slots. Pong became the first home game console in 1975 and sold out over the Christmas period as well and continued in becoming one of the most iconic and best loved games of all time, Of course there wasn’t much competition at this stage but Pong started the gaming craze that has now become a multi billion pound industry and changed the way we live.

Flash games have been around for a while, essentially since the development of the Flash platform by Macromedia in 1996. Later developments in the code made the program easier to handle and a lot cheaper, thus readily available to eager young minds to develop new games. The games became better, faster, and more appealing, but most important of all, free! Game players around the world where more than happy to surf the internet for the latest flash games, which seem to come out daily in all sorts of flavours and genres.

One of the most popular niches of the free online game niche, are flash sport games. As most of us already know, sports are basically the number one threshold for people everywhere looking for a past time. Whether it is baseball, hockey, basketball, or the not so conventional sports, like the popular series of Yeti sports games. It has been merely one step up for free flash game websites to include flash sport games in their databases and receive an almost immediate response by part of their visitors. Free sport games like “Pinch Hitter”, a baseball game which focuses on a player facing a turn a bat, have been received with great enthusiasm by flash game players. So much so, that players sometimes ask the website owner for this game by name, to be included among the available files so they can try their skill amongst themselves.

Another important development in the flash games world, is the inclusion of high scores in some of the games. However, this feature must be coded by the original developers of the game, and made to work with the code of the flash games website. What happens is that a flash game coded for high scores is linked to the website code of the flash game website at the time of it’s installation, so it looks for the database on the host and prints the players high scores every time a request is sent. This feature not only allows for the player to keep track of his personal best performance playing a particular game, but also allows him to compete against other players. Some websites offer player rankings on the front page, as well prizes for onsite tournaments with cash prizes. So you see, the real essence and feel of sportsmanship is already part of the free sport games available online, which is competition.

Consider playing some of the new online adventure games available for free at Umbla.com. Play online for as long as you wish without the need to register or pay a single cent.

In an effort to bring back the glory days of the early 90’s, when Sonic the Hedgehog was on top of the heap, Sega of America compiled a handful of games and packaged it into what came to be called the “Sonic Gems Collection”. Featuring Sonic and the freedom fighters, the release included several unfamiliar games like Sonic R, as well as a much appreciated one like Sonic CD. Obviously, Sonic developers where trying to do a little mix and match with their new and not so well known titles, looking to bring them forward with the help of their already established, good selling releases. The Gems collection did not sell as well as their previous release, but that shouldn’t of come as a surprise considering their strategy.

First in the list of the Sonic Gems Collection is Sonic the Fighters. A game originally developed for arcades in 1996 by Virtua Fighter creators AM2. A bit out of the ordinary, the game is characterized by insane speed, flying corks and bombs and the usual treasure hunting in the form of rings. Another aspect of this games that sets itself apart from the others is the appearance of a metal boss character with Sonic appearance. Although it may look a little outdated by today’s standards, Sonic Fighters is sure to deliver good times to Sonic the Hedgehog fans who cherish sonic games.

Second in the Gems collection we would find Sonic R. The first sonic racing game released by Sega for game consoles. The game was developed in a joint venture with Traveller’s Tales. One could say that this was the only genuine game title made for the Sega Saturn before it disappeared from store shelves. Not so good news for sonic game players who were glad to see a tough graphic engine behind this console, depicting fading backgrounds, water reflections and shadows, for a smooth game playing experience. Sonic R is an extremely fun game, a mix between a racing game and the usual sonic platform made evident by the amount of open spaces and the opportunity to jump off course and fetch for alternate routes. Players remain in controversy over the games level of difficulty. Despite the inclusion of extras, like chaos emeralds and unlockable characters, some claim to be able to finish the track in a few hours, while others claim the game is unplayable unless you leave the emeralds behind. There are five courses to choose from, plus a multi-player feature that works rather well on the PC port the game was based on.

The market for casual games has grown over the years to become dominated by many big business companies yet still remains a viable option for independent small game developers. First what makes or comprises a casual game exactly? Casual games are defined as a game that has a simplified or easily accessible game mechanics and the overall difficulty of the game is much lower than a traditional game. Players should be able to able to pick up and play the game within a few minutes of introduction to the product. This simple aspect of casual games has helped grow the industry into what we see today.

The industry was fairly new starting in 2002 but now to the market to date has grown to over 2 billion dollars in yearly revenue. This is a remarkable statistic despite the fact that many of the companies involved have very little brick-and-mortar representation. Most of these games cannot be found at your local shops. You might ask how this is possible without having products for sale on store shelves but the key lies in the ability of these games to spread through the use of game portals on the Internet. The success of casual games can be attributed to the use of many varying business models. The types of business models used in this industry can include the following:

Try and Buy

This is often the most simple and straightforward method. A potential customer can download and try for free any game they see on a games portal and after a set amount of time playing the program will shut down. Using this model game sales are shared with the developers profit and in turn encourages further promotion of the game by various game affiliate web portals.

Web Trials

This is a variation of the traditional method mentioned previously but offers a version that requires no download and is playable in a web browser. Typically the games can be played an unlimited amount of times but they are limited in quality over the “upgraded” versions which can be purchased. These games are also often published in many game portals to achieve maximum brand presence. Sometimes these free games are supplemented with ad revenue which help offset the costs associated with developing the title.

Subscriptions

Because the traditional “try and buy” method often results in a very low download to sales conversion rates, ranging usually in the single digit percents, subscriptions have appeared as another way to entice customer sale conversion. Among the several types of subscription options used would include the “Unlimited” package where the user pays a fixed amount every month in return for unlimited play in all the games offered in the package. “Title Of the Month” is also another subscription model which the consumer pays a fixed amount a month and in return gets one or more games free.

Pay-to-play

This is a newer business model that is a hybrid approach for games sold through some casual game portals. Similar to the arcades of old, users would pay with credits or small micro transactions for usually about 25 cents a play. Because this model is new not much information has come to light regarding its success.

The main distributors of casual games are what known as game portals – websites devoted exclusively to games; free or for purchase. The major game portals include MSN Games, Shockwave.com, RealArcade and Yahoo games for example. Other key portals in the casual games categories are AOL Games, Miniclip, Pogo and Big Fish Games.

The most popular types of categories in the casual genre would be Sudoko, Puzzle, Mah Jong, Word Games, Casual-Action games, and Card & Board. This is by no means all of the types of casual games you will find on the Internet but do comprise a very large portion of the games played today. One of the most popular casual games is Bejeweled developed in 2001 by PopCap Games. Impressively it has been downloaded over 150 million times and has sold over 25 million retail copies. Countless clones have been spawned as a result of the success achieved by Bejeweled and comprising its very own type of game design known as “match three”.

With its rapid success and multiple approaches to doing business it is easy to see how casual games have become a part of the big business of creating video games. Continuing growth in worldwide markets, particularly Asia, has opened the doors for companies large and small to develop casual titles which should see revenue generate steadily rise as time goes on.

Every child has a dream of becoming somebody awe inspiring someday. Some would want to grow up to become a lawyer. Some would want to become a doctor. They would say: “I want to become a doctor so that I could cure sick people!” For boys, I guess what tops on this “when I grow up list” is to become an astronaut: everyone seems to have undergone the astronaut phase. (Case in point: Toy Story where Buzz Aldrin replaced the cowboy toy) Some poor souls want to become lawyers. (only heaven knows for what reason!) A few noble ones would want to become teachers– “So that we could mould the minds of the future!” (Pretty mature reason for a child.) For girls, the most favored profession is: “I want to be a famous actress or a fashion model!” It figures. Most of them are vain. Hehe

But as far back as I could remember, all I ever wanted was to be involved in games. I love games. I love the feel of being transported to a different world. I am perpetually amazed how a game could make you forget the time and make you forget a problem. Do you have a problem with your love life? Play counterstrike! Imagine that the evil and vile love of your life face on a terrorist and shoot it with a machine gun. Exterminate! Obliterate! Oops I am sorry. I am getting out of line here. Anyway, I have been envious of professional game players. They go from one tournament to another and earning money while playing computer games. Then they get to win really cool prizes like a top of the line PC or the latest release mobile phone. Talk about lucky people.

I have mentioned that I love playing games. Unfortunately, games do not like me. I suck at playing games. No matter how long I have played at a game, once I reached a point where I know the basics, I do not seem to improve. My friends almost always kick my ass in whatever games we play. In Defense of the Ancients (a popular game mode in Warcraft III), my friends would make it a tradition to hunt my character for I am an easy kill. They would say: “Hey guys! Check out the free 200 gold here!” and they would just laugh.

I know then that if I can’t be a gamer I would be a game developer. Blessed with an eye for details and syntax construction, I studied IT in college. Flash has been my favorite software and pretty soon, I began developing flash games for Bratz games. After graduation, I was formally taken by the company that makes Bratz games and I try to update the Bratz games site. I try to make Bratz games fun and simple to play and pretty soon positive comments flow my way. My little nephews and nieces love playing Bratz games and I found great satisfaction in my work every time I see them smile.

Lea Smith is a bratz dolls enthusiast and she loves to play various Bratz Games . She is also the webmaster of www.bratzgames.biz wherein you can find tons of great online flash games to play.

Nintendo have done it again with a second new release in one week to a carefully targeted segment of game players. The Nintendo DS Lite Limited Edition Ice Blue with Brain Age is clearly aimed at an audience interested in calm intellectual stimulation rather than the usual combat style game.

For those who need a break from the running, jumping, and general mayhem of a Super Mario game, Nintendo have brought out another limited edition bundle in the form of Ice Blue Nintendo DS Lite. Needless to say, it looks really ‘cool’ and will be widely welcomed by those feeling a little jaded by the endless demands of slaughtering demons, monsters and sundry foes.

This version of the Nintendo DS Lite extends the range of colors available with an icy, almost metallic hue. Clearly gender neutral, the Ice Blue console will appeal to both sexes, across all age ranges. From a marketing standpoint, it looks like a good choice. Moreover, the hue is likely to have special appeal to those wanting a calm activity and have little need to express vengeful wrath.

The game which is included – Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day! – has been inspired by the research of a prominent Japanese neuroscientist, and provides a variety of mental activities in the form of mini games. For instance, these include simple yet challenging math problems, picture drawing, counting, and observation games.

Brain Age requires you to take an initial test to determine your ‘brain age’ and your score is expected to drop as you participate in the activities offered. Your result can be compared with those of others if you don’t mind competition and being surpassed by 10 yr olds!

Those who especially enjoy competition can play up to 16 opponents to see who is able to solve problems the fastest.

The console itself will give up to 19 hours of continuous game play on one charge. As well, it has the highly regarded extra bright dual LCD screens, which offer crisp colors with good contrast, as well as a touch screen.

Like others in the DS Lite family, the Ice Blue Nintendo DS Lite has the standard features, which include very impressive 3D rendered graphics, stereo sound, and the ability to play a wide assortment of portable games from any genre. Using this product with a headset and microphone opens up many possibilities to chat over the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection to an international audience, as well as use voice control over games.

The Nintendo DS Lite Limited Edition Ice Blue with Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day! And Carrying Case Bundle is a welcome addition to the DS Lite family and will be especially welcomed by a large segment of the market. It looks like another winner from Nintendo!

The features are far more extensive than I’ve described here. To learn more about this exciting new release go to Nintendo Ice Blue and you can also see the latest info on this range of products at http://www.BestBuyDSLite.info

With another producer giving up its licensed rights for NCAA Basketball, EA is now the last player standing in the NCAA Basketball game industry. And for the latest installment in the series, EA has chosen to use same basketball engine it has applied for its NBA games. But that’s not the only surprise NCAA Basketball 09 has to offer. It has other aces up its sleeve, and a couple of them are listed below.

Better Responses

Thanks to the passionate but well-meaning criticisms of game players of NBA Live 09, NCAA Basketball 2009, previously named NCAA Mega March Madness, will come to your TV screens with an improved level of responsiveness in terms of help defense against pick-and-rolls, rebounding, and ball handling.

On-Campus Outdoor Practice Court

Practicing outdoors on campus has always been a trademark of collegiate basketball and this time, EA producers made sure it was part of the game. Even better, this feature comes with real-time weather conditions. If it’s raining too hard, that could mean a missed practice for your team!

Player Recruiting and Development System

Accuracy was one of the major goals of the makers of NCAA Basketball 09. They spoke with every school involved with the NCAA and gathered as much information as they could to make game representations of each and every NCAA team as realistic and accurate as possible.

This jives well with the new player recruiting and development system used in the game, one that requires game players to ensure their recruits fit well with the coach’s playing style.

Legends Tournament

NCAA Basketball 09 also honors the greatest players of the past with its Legends Tournament. Choose among the top sixty-four NCAA Tournament teams and see how you fare against the best of NCAA Basketball.

Your Rules, Your Style
With NCAA Basketball 09, you’re certainly the boss! The game lets you select from a number of pre-game strategies to execute. Playing styles used in the game are also quite authentic, including structured half-court sets, up-tempo transition games, and trapping defenses. The game tempo meter allows you to tweak settings in an instant.

A Blue Ribbon College Basketball Yearbook Contribution
Last but not the least, your Division I team can make use of the scouting reports provided by the Blue Ribbon College Basketball Yearbook. Team ratings are also provided.

These are just some of the few things you can look forward to with NCAA Basketball 09. The only way to know more is to play the game when it’s finally released on November 17, 2008.

"How do I use one monitor for two computers?"
If your monitor has a switch to control inputs DVI / VGA and you will be able to connect each computer to one of those inputs. You may need to buy a 2-Port KVM with Integrated Cableswhich lets you use 1 keyboard, 1 monitor and 1 mouse on 2 computers.
