Thankfully, the Panasonic TC-P42X1 comes in a couple of plasma models in 720p resolution. Since most of your high definition viewing is going to be in 1080i or 720p you still get the maximum high definition quality from a 720p panel. I would guess for Blu-ray the better black levels would more than make up for the lost resolution. With Game Mode turned on you get the motion resolution and enhanced details you need to win. And don’t worry about racking up all those long hours playing anti-image technology and a remarkable 100,000 hour panel life ensure that your HDTV will still run smoothly and beautifully. Brings high quality viewing to your home.

Let’s start with the screen itself whose resolution of just 1024×768 has an obvious negative impact on the amount of detail it can show. We even noticed the staircase effect having to scale a 1920×1080 source to fit onto a 1024×768 42” screen just won’t do. HDTVs with a diagonal screen size between 42 and 45 inches are LCDs or Plasmas usually with a resolution of either 1366×768 or 1920×1080. The optimum viewing distance for an HDTV screen like this one is generally considered to be about 6.5 to 7.5 feet.

This technology produces razor sharp images even in high-speed chase scenes. Thoughtful additions like the pixel orbiter, an Anti-Reflective panel, and an Energy Star certification add up to the impressive 100,000 hour panel life span. This technology converts the motion in each scene into data and each frame is practically displayed for a shorter length of time than in previous systems to reduce after effects. The 600Hz Sub-field Drive produces crisp, focused images for sports, dramatic action, and all other fast-moving scenes. Your full-HD movies and games never looked sharper.

The Viera Image Viewer enables you to enjoy and share your photos with your family and friends. It has a another great feature Viera Link for compatible home entertainment components such as your camcorders, digital cameras and now you can control all A/V home entertainment components via a single remote and helpful on-screen menus.

Colors look rich and natural and contrast is crisp with deep black levels. Compared to last years model the Panasonic TC-P42X1 delivers improved picture quality while consuming significantly less power. Color reproduction was about average once we’d calibrated the TV before calibration we found all of the colors peaked at very high intensity levels the trade off being a much better contrast level. The main problem with the TV’s color representation it’s a little choppy as the TV tries to boost the intensity of a color the actual visible increase was not consistant.

Panasonic Plasma HDTV brings vivid colors from 6,144 steps of gradation. Plasmas still beats LCD on viewing angle but the LCD TV’s are still the cheaper alternative. You can be at almost any angle viewing a Plasma TV and the picture is clear as can be. Plasmas are suppose to have the higher contrast advantage over LCDs and shouldn’t suffer from lost details of dark scenes. It leads me to think the dynamic range of this TV isn’t really that great despite what the manufacturer says.

Listen to some of Amazon Customers who’ve owned Samsung LE19B450C4

Better than the competition!, 1 April 2009

This is Samsungs latest offering of a 19″ LCD TV and its Great! Most small LCD tv’s don’t have brilliant sound and can sound “tinny”. But a quick tweak of the equaliser settings on this and the sound is far better than you would expect. The picture quality is simply amazing, and I’ve yet to see a better picture on a 19″ screen (and I’ve tried them all now). The stand is adjustable for tilt, giving approx 15degrees forwards tilt and 90 degrees back. With the stand folded back 9o degrees, it then turns into a wall mount. There is a seperate bracket supplied that attaches to your wall and the base of the stand slots onto it vertically. Alternatively it has Vesa 75 x 75 mounting options. When using a Vesa mount, the stand is removeable and you are supplied with covers for the base of the TV to cover up the hole. The remote control is a dream to use, so ergonomic and tactile. Everything is clearly labelled and easy to work out even without reading the manual! This is also a true widscreen TV with a 16:9 screen so picture is displayed perfectly. Whereas some other tv’s on the market are little more than pc monitors with a built in tuner, with screens which are 16:10! That can cause picture stretching or cropping. All in, this little Samsung is brilliant and you won’t be dissappointed with it!

Excellent Small LCD TV, 12 May 2009

Bought this for a kitchen. Also bought a swivel wall mount and both work far better than expected for the relatively cheap price. Easy set up and sturdy logical remote. Very good picture and good sound range that you can adjust to your own taste. Definitely recommend to others.

- Patrick Carroll (Dorset UK)

Great for Freeview, 13 May 2009

Great picture with Freeview, which is what I bought it for. Decent looks, decent sound, great value. The analogue picture is not so good, but this may just be the HD screen showing up problems with my weak analogue signal. It’s not a problem for me, as I won’t be using it on analogue.

- Pikestaff (UK)

Perfect bedroom TV!, 1 Jun 2009

I love this TV! I have a 50″ Pioneer Kuro as my main TV in the living room and this Samsung on a wall bracket in the bedroom and i’m very glad i bought it. Picture quality is excellent, the inbuilt Freeview is brilliant as is the connectivity. Only annoying thing is the ‘welcome noise’ it makes when you turn it on or off, like when your computer starts up. I’d recommend this and already have done to friends. Delivery from Amazon was rapid!

- S. Young (Glasgow, UK)

Picture of TV., 31 May 2009

Great television, but it could have shown the red plastic strip in a picture at the bottom of the TV as it may not have gone with my deco!

Samsung LE19B450C4 19″ HD Ready LCD TV, 24 May 2009

I wanted a small television, preferably smaller than 19″ but after trying two smaller TV’scames to the conclusion that nothing less that 19″ gives you a good picture. This TV, which we use in the kitchen fixed to the wall, we have found to be excellent and would recommend this model.

Brand is one of the top considerations of consumers when shopping for an HDTV. After all, there is no denying that some brands are simply better than others. If you’re looking to buy a Panasonic HDTV, here are the various Viera series that Panasonic has released in the past few months, as well as those it has in store for 2009.

Panasonic Viera S1 LCD Series

The Panasonic S1 LCD series has two distinctive features. First, it sports an IPS Alpha Panel, which provides a 178 degree viewing angle – wider than most LCD televisions. Second, it carries the Panasonic Motion Focus Technology, which results in clear images even during fast motion sequences. Like many other series, it also has the Viera Image Viewer and Viera Link features, and also comes with a Game Mode and a 15,000:1 contrast ratio. In terms of connectivity, this Panasonic HDTV series offers three HDMI inputs, a PC input and several others. As of now, it only consists of two models, though – the 37-inch TC-L37S1 and the 32-inch TC-L32S1.

Panasonic Viera S1 Plasma Series

Plasma televisions are known for consuming nearly two times the amount of energy consumed by LCD TVs. However, the Panasonic S1 Plasma HDTVs have changed that, particularly since they come with a Neo PDP Panel and other power-saving features. Aside from this, they also have a Full-Time 1080 TV Lines Moving Picture Resolution, which means it maintains its 1080p resolution even during fast moving scenes, unlike some HDTVs which reduce the number of lines in order to display clear moving images. Other features include the Viera Image Viewer and the Viera Link, as well as three HDMI inputs.

Panasonic Viera G1 Series

The Panasonic Viera G1 Series is a step up from the Viera S1 LCD Series. While it carries the same IPS Alpha Panel with a 178 degree viewing angle, the same number of HDMI inputs and the same features such as the Viera Image Viewer and the Viera Link, it has a 120Hz Motion Picture Pro3 technology, which is better than the Motion Focus Technology in delivering excellent pictures during fast moving sequences. It also has a better contrast ratio of 20,000:1 and comes with a stand that swivels so you can easily rotate your HDTV.

Panasonic Viera U1 Series

This Panasonic HDTV series currently consists of three Plasma HDTV models – the TC-P50U1, the TC-P46U1 and the TC-P42U1, all of which come with a 1080p Full HD resolution and over 900 lines of moving picture resolution. They also have three HDMI inputs and a contrast ratio of 30,000:1 aside from the Viera Image Viewer and Viera Link features.

Panasonic Viera G10 Series

Like the Viera S1 Plasma HDTV models, the G10 Plasma televisions have a Full-Time 1080 TV Lines Moving Picture Resolution and an Anti-Reflective Filter. In addition to the Viera Image Viewer and Viera Link, though, they have the Viera Cast, which allows you to enjoy certain online content, such as YouTube Videos and Picasa albums on a built-in web interface. They also have a PC input, an ethernet port and an analog audio output to add to the connectivity options of the S1 Plasma HDTVs, and have a more distinctive design highlighted by a fading silver wash at the bottom and a round stand instead of the rectangular one previous models have.

Panasonic Viera V10 Series

The Viera V10 Series has a few excellent additions which make it one of the best HDTV series from Panasonic. These include an additional HDMI input, along with Digital Cinema Color and 24p Cinematic Playback, both of which combine to faithfully recreate the experience of watching in an actual movie theatre. The 50-inch TC-P50V10 is particularly commendable, since it comes with a cutting-edge two-inch one-pane-of-glass design and a swivel stand.

Panasonic Viera Z1 Series

LCD televisions used to have the edge over Plasma TVs in terms of being slim. However, the Viera Z1 series, which is the latest Panasonic HDTV series, promises to change that. In fact, it is only one inch thick. It also offers wireless connectivity along with many great features, though all of these are sure to come at a steep price.

Every child has a dream of becoming somebody awe inspiring someday. Some would want to grow up to become a lawyer. Some would want to become a doctor. They would say: “I want to become a doctor so that I could cure sick people!” For boys, I guess what tops on this “when I grow up list” is to become an astronaut: everyone seems to have undergone the astronaut phase. (Case in point: Toy Story where Buzz Aldrin replaced the cowboy toy) Some poor souls want to become lawyers. (only heaven knows for what reason!) A few noble ones would want to become teachers– “So that we could mould the minds of the future!” (Pretty mature reason for a child.) For girls, the most favored profession is: “I want to be a famous actress or a fashion model!” It figures. Most of them are vain. Hehe

But as far back as I could remember, all I ever wanted was to be involved in games. I love games. I love the feel of being transported to a different world. I am perpetually amazed how a game could make you forget the time and make you forget a problem. Do you have a problem with your love life? Play counterstrike! Imagine that the evil and vile love of your life face on a terrorist and shoot it with a machine gun. Exterminate! Obliterate! Oops I am sorry. I am getting out of line here. Anyway, I have been envious of professional game players. They go from one tournament to another and earning money while playing computer games. Then they get to win really cool prizes like a top of the line PC or the latest release mobile phone. Talk about lucky people.

I have mentioned that I love playing games. Unfortunately, games do not like me. I suck at playing games. No matter how long I have played at a game, once I reached a point where I know the basics, I do not seem to improve. My friends almost always kick my ass in whatever games we play. In Defense of the Ancients (a popular game mode in Warcraft III), my friends would make it a tradition to hunt my character for I am an easy kill. They would say: “Hey guys! Check out the free 200 gold here!” and they would just laugh.

I know then that if I can’t be a gamer I would be a game developer. Blessed with an eye for details and syntax construction, I studied IT in college. Flash has been my favorite software and pretty soon, I began developing flash games for Bratz games. After graduation, I was formally taken by the company that makes Bratz games and I try to update the Bratz games site. I try to make Bratz games fun and simple to play and pretty soon positive comments flow my way. My little nephews and nieces love playing Bratz games and I found great satisfaction in my work every time I see them smile.

Lea Smith is a bratz dolls enthusiast and she loves to play various Bratz Games . She is also the webmaster of www.bratzgames.biz wherein you can find tons of great online flash games to play.

For one thing, the focus right now is on team selection and game tempo above all things. Here are a few tips to help you understand this all-new but much-improved game!

Game Play Tempo
To play and win in NCAA 09 Basketball, you need to know the preferred game style of your chosen team. If you’ve gone for UCLA, you should know that perform better with balanced plays between running and half court games. Coaching Advice
Thanks to an exclusive deal between EA and the National Association of Basketball Coaches, you can now receive significant advice on how to play your game from NCAA Division I coaches. A meter will show whether you’re playing a slow, moderate, or fast game tempo. Pop-up windows will reveal words of wisdom from your coaches, telling you how to best maintain, regain, or control the pace for the game.

Rival Matches
Do you study in Kansas? Then you probably hate Mizzou and everything related to it. Do you study in Duke? Then you probably detest everything that has to do with UNC. These rivalries add color to the league and NCAA 09 Basketball takes that into account by incorporating a new rival-centric matching feature in the game.

When you choose the Rival game mode, you’ll be able to see which of your team’s rival schools are online. Select your opponent, strike up a match, and you can kick the ball rolling!

Dynamic Post Play
New and improved post-play controls have been added to NCAA 09 Basketball to ensure that you’re in the driver’s seat at every part of the game. Your big man also has more offensive and defensive options to choose from. As it is, everything you need to win is virtually handed to you on a silver platter; you just need to know the actual playing strategies used by your chosen team.
