Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is set to be one of the best online experiences the world has encountered. The original has simply pioneered first-person shooter games that we will play online in the future; the weapons are phenomenally realistic, the graphics are intense and the game play is smooth and quick. Also, the idea of kill streaks is one of a kind. But playing this game for so long, the standard kill streaks can get rather tedious.

Infinity Ward released a trailer depicting a portion of the online game play of the much anticipated Modern Warfare 2. Of course the main attraction of this trailer is the ability to customize your kill streak load outs – it shows the AC130 gunship, which we imagine the player controls, using the infrared image and the different calibre guns of the gunship just like the mission in CoD4.

Quite interestingly, the AC130 also appears to have a defence feature unlike the standard load outs in CoD4; there is a scene that lasts a number of seconds of a player firing a homing missile (awesome!) at the AC130, then the gunship reacts and releases a flare and it changes to the next scene before you see anything happen. Now, assuming the gunship released flares, the flares should take the gunships place and the missile will assume the flare is the target it is heading for. This will definitely make the battles more interesting!

Another cool little thing that’s worth pointing out is the new type of grenade that was introduced in this trailer; Semtex – just like the sticky grenades in Call of Duty: World at War (N° 74). Except this time they won’t be looking like giant gobstopper lollypops! These two new features should lead to some new and interesting strategies for the eagerly anticipated game Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, released in November 2009.

1. Bioshock

The number one game of 2008, Bioshock is a first-person shooter game with RPG elements that takes place in an alternate version of the 1960s. A businessman created a city called Rapture underwater, where the greatest of humanity could live free of the problems of the surface world and advance humanity. Jack, a man who finds himself in Rapture after his plane crashes, begins to unravel the truth behind the city and his own origins, while dealing with the gene-re-writing ADAM cells, the mysterious Little Sisters, and the frightening and massive Big Daddies. The storyline is highly engrossing, focusing on choices of morality with different endings, each of which are extremely emotional. It is frightening, exciting, and one of the best video games ever created.

2. Halo 3

The final game in the Halo trilogy that chronicles the battle between the cybernetically-enhanced Master Chief and the United Nations Space Command and the theocratic group of aliens called the Covenant. Master Chief defeats the High Prophet of Truth and the Gravemind at long last. It balances the weapons triangle of the previous two games and adds the ability to dual wield guns. There are also new secondary weapons and equipment for additional bonuses. It manages to continue the great story and gameplay of the previous two games without destroying what made them great, while continuing to build upon the series’ pre-existing elements, like the ability to edit multiplayer maps.

3. Gears of War 2

The continuation of the science fiction tactical/first person shooter series, Gears of War, that involves humanity’s battle with the alien Locust Horde after the detonation of the Lightmass Bomb in the previous game. Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago continue their struggle against the Locust while dealing with another enemy: the infected Lambent Locust, which have been greatly mutated and have pushed the Locust out of their homes underground. The plot is exciting, though the ending falls a tad flat. However, the many new multiplayer modes and all sorts of new weapons make this an excellent buy for any owner of an Xbox 360.

4. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

The near-future installment of the army-based first person shooter series, Call of Duty. A coup d’etat in the Middle East combined with an ultranationalist movement erupting in Russia lead to the involvement of the American Marines and the British Special Air Service, resulting in a complex military and political struggle for the fate of the world. The story’s narrative is highly compelling, and the characters are rich and complex. The gameplay is also exciting, though it does nothing that the genre has not seen already. Additionally, the game’s numerous multiplayer modes and options make it an instant classic for the system.

5. Mass Effect

An American action RPG, Mass Effect is about the future, when humankind has made it to the stars. While on a mission to learn about an extinct race, Commander Shepard, the customizable main character, gets caught up in a complex political and evolutionary power play, one that involves inorganic beings called the Reapers and the universal force called the Mass Effect, the game’s interpretation of dark matter. The game is primarily geared towards shooter action, with an emphasis on choices of morality in NPC interaction. It is a hugely interactive game with all sorts of great science fiction ideas, and the game world is so deep that you will get lost in it.

The Game: Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood
Publisher: Ubisoft
Platforms: PS3, XBOX 360, PC
Release: Summer 2009

SCORES

Story: 7.75 – Decent story, corny dialogue at times, somewhat predictable but feeds us gamers all we need to get a decent rise out of this experience. Keeping in mind that all other Western-genre video-games before this were never really that great, this is definitely the best Western to hit next-gen consoles.

Graphics: 8.25 – Environments are awesomely detailed, feels authentic to Westerns, frame-rate somewhat lacks – slightly choppy, also when close up to certain objects, graphics tend to get a bit blocky with pixles when standing at certain angel. Other than that, this game is pretty much perfect in most other graphics categories: AI movements are realistic and seem unpredictable, the showdown duels are beautifully executed in every aspect, even the act of helping your other character up a ledge or a rooftop looks pretty decent considering this is an F.P.S.(First Person Shooter)
Sound/Music: 7.5 – The soundtrack didn’t take too long to start becoming redundant and annoying, and repeated phrases from your characters, like how they say “sunn bitch”, is very annoying, along with plenty of other corny things that fly out of your characters’ mouths. The music often sounds a bit too modern to fit the genre seamlessly, and even sounds a bit like Middle-Eastern Techno, because we all know what that sounds like, right? Well, you will after this game if not.

Coolness Factor: 8.0 – If you want a solid F.P.S. that isn’t simply a rehash of everything else you’ve ever played, pick this game up and at least see it for yourself. Plenty of action, and the only dull moments I have noticed come in the form of cut-scenes.
The Not-So-Cool: Repetetive corny phrases, lack of side-missions, obnoxious voice-acting at times

Replay Value: 6.0 – Though it can be a fun game, the only incentive to play through this game twice or more would be to play as a different character. Other than that, the secrets are lame and playing the whole game once through seemed like enough for me.

Pick-up-and-Play Value: 9.5 – If it wasn’t for the “Concentration Mode”, anyone who is familiar with first-person-shooters can pick this up and feel comfortable with the button layout and jump right into the gun-fights. “Concentration Mode” needs a little practice but is very easy to get the hang of. You’ll find the most fun in gun-fights come from filling up your “Concentration Meter” to use this mode, which allows your to slow down time and target up to 12 enemies (with Ray, 6 with Thomas) and shoot them all down in a heart-beat.

Impact on Genre: 10 – I personally feel that this game is a big step in the right direction as far as Western-based video-games goes. It might not be the greatest game to bless our consoles, but for those of us who crave a genuine Sergio Leone Western with the classic Ennio Morricone soundtrack, this game is just one step closer to “groundbreaking epic”, and with enough dedication to the genre I firmly believe that a developer who is ready to take the reigns and do to Westerns what “God of War” did to Greek mythology, we could very well see the rebirth of the bad-ass cowboy in it’s most magnificent form.

OVERALL RATING: 8.14

FULL REVIEW

To the few of us who actually played the first installment of this game, “Call of Juarez” actually manages to do something different with the FPS (First Person Shooter) genre by allowing the player to play the game as two different characters. In the first “Call of Juarez”, you are not given the choice to choose between your characters. As you play through missions, the game switches who you get to be automatically, putting you in the shoes of the wrongfully accused Billy Candle who is on the run from your other playable character, the Reverend Ray McCall, who just so happens to be one of the two characters you get to choose from in the new “Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood”. It was a very interesting element of gameplay that no other video games had ever quite done before – being the protagonist and the antagonist at the same time. A tough feat, and yet not quite pulled-off with success until now.

In “Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood”, you get the choice of playing between two different characters who are brothers in the game. Reverend Ray McCall makes a return in this game, but being a prequal and keeping with the original story, Ray is not yet a reverend. Without giving away any spoilers, you will find out why he becomes a man of the cloth by the end of this game like he was in the original. Thomas McCall is a new character, the brother of Ray, and throughout the game you will be given the choice whether to use Ray or Thomas before each mission. You will find that their differing qualities will give you more of an advantage than the other might, depending on the situation at hand: Thomas is a good distance shooter, is quicker and more agile than his brother Ray, he takes more damage than Ray but is more accurate when shooting, wields knives, bow and arrows, a whip for climbing, and can only hold one weapon at a time, whereas Ray is stronger and takes less damage, he can wield two weapons (either a gun in each hand or a gun in one hand and dynamite in the other), is slower and needs help climbing, and close range attacks are where Ray is at his deadliest.

The “Concentration Mode” definitely deserves some kudos. I prefer using Ray for this, when his “Concentration Mode” meter fills up and you hit Circle, it slows down the time for you to place up to twelve aiming reticules over any visible enemies for you to shoot, and once all targets are placed, you simply sit back and watch how Ray automatically shoots off his gun, laying a crowd of men to rest in a single instance. The only difference when using Thomas is that you flick the R3 joystick (on PS3) and Thomas automatically targets the enemy, all you have to do is pull the trigger.

The story has many thrown-in twists: your characters are two awol confederate soldiers being hunted down by their former army general for deserting the war to save their families, you join forces with a gang of Mexican’s with a girl who becomes the completely un-needed love interest of both of your characters causing tension between the brothers, the next minute you’re fighting alongside Indians, the minute after you’re pansy baby brother is trying to preach about the Lord’s love. It’s starts getting a little crazy when you’re supposed Mexican friends turn out to be demented crooks who turn against you, all the while this “love interest” plays both your characters hook-line-and-sinker. These are just some of the factors that build up this story. If you’re an avid game who plays and beats at least one game a month will realize not long after getting into this game that the story is very menial compared to the gameplay. In fact, nothing hinders the gameplay more than the developers needs to shove all these

If you’re accustom the FPS’s, then you’ll find “C.O.J.:Bound In Blood” fairly easy to pick up and play, and if you’re not extremely picky in the types of games you play, you will find this game to be a nice, mediocre treat to hold you off untill “Batman: Arkham Asylum” or “Bioshock 2″ comes out.

Get ready for an incredible ride. This first person shooter game is one the best crafted games out there. Find yourself in the city of Rapture with music and mood set in the 40’s and 50’s filled with advanced robots and gadgets that one could imagine during its time. Along with incredible details put into the design graphics you find yourself totally into the game like you are really living in the world of Andrew Ryan. Every fixture, door, sculpture looks vintage and looks like it belongs there, no “check out this design to be wowed” graphic here. Every graphics feels like it was made for a big budget Hollywood movie that was made to make the audience feel just like they were in the past, including the science fiction of the past too.

As you go along, the battles that you come across are gory, graphic and intense. The damage sustained and delivered appears so real that you will be saying “ooohhhh” and “aaaoohhh” with every blow and surprise blow. The bad guys feel like they are from the original “Twilight Zone” and science fiction comic books of the 40’s and 50’s. The only thing is that these bad guys have some agility and speed. Somebody greased their gears, juiced up their cathode tubes and lit a fire under their boots pretty good because these guys mean business and are after you for a quick kill. You can use “plasmids” and “tonics” to build your character without needing high stats. The enemies are tuned into your fighting style and react accordingly to it, no pre-determined killing moves. You really got a fight on your hands and these bad guys are out to finish the job. Get the game on Xbox 360 as soon as you can and jump right into this magnificent and intense game that will have you completely zoned into it.

There are various resources for finding and playing an assortment of online games available to the web crawler today. The 5 basic game types available online to the web crawler to enjoy are;

1. MMOG (Massively Multiplayer Online Game)/role-playing

2. First-person Shooter – Battle Forge

3. Adult/Gambling/Erotic

4. Puzzle/Strategy

5. Racing/Simulation

MMOG or (Massively Multiplayer Online Games) are extremely popular and you can now join for free and play many of them. Games like “Battle forge” and “Battlefield Heroes” for example, allow the players to join and play for free, with “perks” being the addition of customizations purchased from the developers for points, in exchange for money; much like Microsoft’s point system.

Almost all games that are extremely popular have moved from the two dimensional side scrolling action to full 3D, allowing the player to take full advantage of their hardware and play in amazingly rendered environments.

“Battle Forge” is a card based strategy and MMOG game. These hybrid games are evolving because the niches for a specific brand is small and many players look for as many facets of gaming in one source to enjoy. “Battlefield Heroes” is a first person / MMOG game that has evolved to incorporate role-playing and customization to enhance the online experience of the players as well as provide them with a unique online presence.

Racing/simulation games are often one and the same as a hybrid racing game and most online games allow you to customize your vehicle, race, earn cash, gas, and other strategic factors to play their game. A great example of a quick and fun online game in many of the above genres including racing and simulation are the games provided to Facebook by Zynga games. These online games are quick and fun to play and are simple yet addicting.

Adult/gambling/erotic games are also gaining ground online, as most things in this genre live on the web these days. However not all adult games have to be raunchy and distasteful. Some developers realized that there are adults who surf the web and may need a fifteen minute break here and there. Games like strip poker, date games and other 3D anime/hentai like games are very popular for the 18+ crowd.

Gambling games are self explanatory. Any gambling game that allows you to play for an imaginary amount of money is a great site to rid yourself of those gambling urges. Real online gambling can be fun too, however that is another topic that needs its own precautions and safeties.

In the multi-billion dollar industry of gaming, online games have a real small place in which to grow, however their presence remains ever expanding and there are always going to be new and fancier games almost daily to locate and play on the expanse known to the world as the “web”.

No doubt, the best available online games are the ones that allow minimal personal input from the user and allow free play, unless more participation is accepted and wanted by the user. Companies are growing ever more aware of the increasing popularity of online gaming seeing that many web users are taking full advantage, playing and entertaining themselves online.

It was the Rockstar North who developed the video game entitled Grand Theft Auto 4. This action pack adventure game is also known as the GTA IV. The Grand Theft Auto games have over a total of nine series and GTA IV is the ninth one.

The one which came before GTA IV is named GTA San Andreas. The game GTA IV was released with versions of Xbox and PlayStation 3 in April 2008. It is on this same release date when the game was released in America and Europe.

Months later, it was also released in Japan on the 30th of October 2008. Eventually, the game was released in the Windows version on December 2, 2008.

As we move to the game, you will learn that the Grand Theft Auto 4 was set in an imaginary Liberty city. When compared to the previous games, the version of the city existing in this game is different and completely redesigned. The city portrays the real New York as its inspiration and other things that go on in the city.

The protagonist of the game is a war veteran named Niko Bellic. Since his country is not specified, what we know about him is that he came from some country in Eastern Europe.

When this man comes to America in quest for the American Dream, he gets caught up in seedy dealings and affairs with the underworld in the city. What can one found in the city are numerous sort of vices that you can imagine like corruption, murder, etc. He gets pulled into a net of crimes and gangs and thus unable to come out.

The good part of the game is that you can undergo different experiences while playing it such as being a first person shooter, a third person shooter, and you can ride your car and what not. Those who have played a few of the versions of Grand Theft Auto may know precisely what I am talking about.

In fact the gaming experience that can be attained by any player of Grand Theft Auto 4 is the “open-world” game play which permits the players an enormous amount of hold over the playing experience. With your friends around the globe, you will all certainly enjoy the game for its mode has about fifteen game types and is available online with a multiple player.

Grand Theft Auto 4 is a game ever developed that broke all records of the gaming industry leading to its major critical success. After it was sold about more than for million on the first of release, anyone can say how big a commercial success the game is. There was about six million copies sold worldwide and over five million dollars was earned in its first week alone.

Until the sixteenth of August, the game had sold over ten million copies according to a consensus. This is not a heresy because when you come across to see the ranking charts of the MobyGames and the TopTenReviews, the Grand Theft Auto 4 is proven to be the highest rated game.

Choosing GTA 4 is the best choice as you wait for the next game to come. Get yours and experience a different level by playing this game.

Additionally, the franchise’s black humour is present but not nearly as prevalent, though Fallout 3 is still keenly aware of it’s roots. The haughty pseudo government called the enclave and the freedom fighters known as the Brotherhood of Steel are still powerful forces and the main story centers around concepts and objectives that fallout purists will be familiar with. Keeping in mind that Fallout 3 is first and foremost an RPG, it has one of the cleverest introduction/tutorials I’ve seen in a game. First you are born and get to decide what you will look like.

Like the previous fallout games. It is set in a retro futuristic version of the world that has been turned mostly to rubble by a nuclear war with China. The original fallout games were set on the other side of the United States on the west coast and in the American Southwest. But Fallout 3 is so much more than the originals so much different and that is entirely as it should be. To set out to make a game now ten years after the fact that’s nothing more than a retread of what is to be blunt a dead genre would be ridiculous. In terms of game play, Fallout 3 is a first-person shooter that explores the freedom of choice. The setting does much to allow this freedom a ravaged, post apocalyptic United States where civilization has all but disappeared.

Included is an expansive world, unique combat, shockingly realistic visuals, tons of player choice, and an incredible cast of dynamic characters. Every minute is a fight for survival against the terrors of the outside world radiation, Super mutants and hostile mutated creatures. At the same time this DLC is not something that should be picked up until players are at the point where they’re able to actually beat the game’s original storyline. There’s just no point simply because you can’t play this new content until you get close to level 20 anyway. It’s hard to even speculate on the amount gameplay time that you get here but the dedicated Fallout 3 player will probably get dozens if not hundreds of hours out of the game.

During your quest you’ll encounter makeshift towns. You’ll speak with survivors providing answers that shape your personality into a hero or villain. The DLC expansion offers new quests items and new area to explore namely a post apocalyptic version of Pittsburgh. Start to finish you can probably finish the main quests and bring the game to it’s conclusion in less than twenty hours of play time. By today’s standards that seems to be a pretty average amount of playing time.

In the game you’ll trek along in a questline where you help the Brotherhood take on the Enclave which leads to the brand new area of Adams Air force Base. The new quest revolves around a rumored cure for mutation and you’ll have to infiltrate the Pitt in order to retrieve this cure. This can involve disguising yourself as a slave, joining the raiders, or any of a number of different options.

The new weapons and armor while fun don’t make up for the value of the pack though. Before I headed out to do battle with these new foes however I needed to get my hands on a weapon. Luckily for me one of the slaves in the mill was adept at crafting weapons from the pieces of scrap metal littering the area. A note about how the game plays it can be controlled as an action game with twitch based wielding of pre-made weapons and ones assembled from wreckage found in the game. The game can also be controlled through a stat driven combat system called VATS which allows a time slowed targeting of enemy body parts that keeps the gameplay somewhat tied to the dice rolling action of the original Fallout titles.

Bioshock is that rare game where the plot, environment, and combat are all steps above the normal video game experience. Games at their very best, like this one, can create amazing alternative worlds for us to inhabit, doing those things we can’t do in real life. BioShock was such a nice, melancholy and personal experience, seeing a movie of it just kinda seems a tad disconnected. There’s no way a film can replicate the experience of playing through the game, the suspense, the little moments, the freedom. On the one hand I was delighted that 2K Games has brought the game, albeit a year late, to Sony’s console.

It’s a first person shooter, but it melds in elements of role playing and adventure games so well that people who don’t care for those genres won’t realize it. BioShock is all about placing yourself in a wonderful, heavily detailed environment filled with memorable characters, cool enemies, and creepy atmospheres. If you’re looking for another run ‘n gun game to play while you chug down a few Cokes, you’ll probably be better off not picking BioShock up. BioShock 2 will be released for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC at the end of 2009.

Bioshock is telling us that Randianism is easily perverted, not that Ryan began with perverted ideals. It describes a state, not a process, and to get to the objectivist ideal, Ryan felt pressured into forsaking his beliefs to save his city. BioShock has an disturbing story loosely based on Ayn Rand’s Objectivism ideals, and takes place in an underwater city where morality has been cast aside, and evolution takes the limelight. In BioShock, you’ll battle crazed genetic freaks, armor clad Big Daddies, and try to harvest the life giving serum inside Little Sister mutants.

Bioshock looks more on the suspenseful side and intense, yes more of the same look but switching the drill to hand gun and still have plasmids .nice. I am curious though how they explain a Big Daddy having a plasmid ability? Bioshock is an FPS, but with many elements that make the gameplay more complex than just shooting your enemies while advancing in the game. In addition to the usual, and not so usual, fire and melee weapons, the main character can use “plasmids”, genetic tools created in Rapture that can give superpowers, like telekinesis or fire throwing, to those who use them.

For such a simple device, the Wii Nunchuk offers amazing features. Much of that simplicity is deceptive, though, since this add-on Wii game controller has far more to offer than its simple appearance would suggest.

The Wii Nunchuk connects to the Wii Remote via a cord that provides both electrical power and coordination between the two devices. Nyko makes a wireless version for those who want to eliminate the cord. So, the Nunchuk needs no batteries unlike the Wiimote, which takes 2-AA’s. It also provides a feedback loop to the Wiimote and the console, increasing realism and control.

Boxing, for example, takes on an added dimension thanks to the Nunchuk. Gamers can jab with the left (the Nunchuk) and fire off a roundhouse punch with the right (the Wii Remote). In a first-person shooter, the Nunchuk lets you control the basic movements while you fire with the Wiimote.

The Nunchuk (named after the Japanese martial arts weapon) can do that because it contains much of the technology of the Remote and some extras. It houses the same type of three-axis motion sensors so you can shift left and right, up and down, forward and backward, and perform rotations (a combination of the three). In addition, it adds an analog stick and two buttons similar to traditional game controllers.

The Nunchuk thus becomes more than the sum of its parts. Working alone, it gives you added realism and a wider range of motions by the combination of traditional gaming controls and Wiimote-style control. Working in conjunction with the Wii Remote which works with the sensor bar and receptors in the console, it provides a new level of gaming.

Most players (like most people) are right-handed. So, they’ll hold the Wiimote in the right and the Nunchuk in the left. But the devices are designed to be ambidextrous, so you can easily switch them without a loss of control. If you happen to be left handed, or just learned to play computer games that way, you’ll enjoy the same full experience whichever way you choose.

You can even use the extra ports on the console to plug in more than one Nunchuk (and more controllers, like the Classic Controller or a GameCube controller). That permits a huge variation in your style of play for single-player games, and even more fun for multiple-player games. In either scenario, you can use the analog stick to increase character movement while you use the Remote to throw a football, aim a rifle, or perform hundreds of other moves with increased realism.

The Nunchuk is supplied but not required, though. In fact there are many games, especially older ones from the GameCube (and earlier) era that don’t take advantage of the added flexibility. Even in more contemporary games where the Nunchuk can be used, it is often not essential.

Like any new gaming device, there is a learning curve involved, but the free Wii Sports available with the system provides plenty of fun opportunities right out of the box for getting used to the Wii Nunchuk. Once you do, you’ll rarely want to be without it. The combined pair makes gaming the next best thing to virtual reality.

Many Paramount Pictures films get made into games, as do a lot of intellectual properties from Hollywood. A good number of them become commercial successes and are good companions to the original franchise. A limited number become so popular that they push their genre into a greater level of excellence and occasionally become greater than the original movie. Still other games are what some in the business call shovelware: a game that is produced simply to go along with the Hollywood title, with no real purpose but to cash in and make money off of the unsuspecting customers recognizing a logo, trademark or picture, and purchasing the game.

Shooter, now available for the Apple iPod Touch and iPhone is the latest game available from Paramount Digital Entertainment, a division of Paramount Pictures and is a touch screen first person shooter title based on the 2007 movie of the same name.

The game is spread across six missions, each with five sub-missions. The missions are mainly stealth and sniper missions, with a few action sequences mixed in. There are also several puzzle missions added in to spice up the gameplay. The game has a strong learning curve, which can make playing some of the levels more of a challenge than a joy, but the game is very fun to play for the most part.

Shooter is another fine addition to the library of available games by Paramount Digital Entertainment, a division of Paramount Pictures, and at the bargain cost of $1.99 is worth a look.

Check back for more stuff about Paramount Pictures films and other entertainment soon!

I am a games freak, and I am the only person in the world who does not seem to realize that fact. I have been playing ever since the days of the Atari and Pac man and World Quest. I have tried all formats possible: game console, pc, and handhelds like Game boy and Play station portable. You name it I have played it. At first, I just dismissed it as a healthy fascination for technology and entertainment. However, I soon found out that I cannot stop playing. I first got addicted in the strategic game Starcraft. (I think Starcraft II is being released this year. Yeah!) I played every day for weeks joining in a lot of local tournaments. After I got tired of the strategic game, I got hooked on Counterstrike. It is a mod game of the popular half life game. Like its parent game format, it is a first person shooter. The objective of the game is basically to kill the opposing team’s members with all the high powered guns that you see today. Very realistic, I tell you and highly addicting. Now this is worse than my Starcraft stage. I play like there was no tomorrow. I played even though I have no more money in my allowance to buy food. I chose to go hungry than miss playing counterstrike. When I ran out of money, I borrow from my friends. This is usually a bad case for most of my friends are also addicted to the game, so most of them deplete their allowances. During that time, whenever our class dismissal is near approaching, I could feel that my hands are itching (literally). The urge to play is so strong that I would feel depress if I can’t play for more than an hour each day.

News of people collapsing because of playing for days in front of their PC did not bother me. My parents even threatened me to admit me in a psychiatric center if I do not stop. (OK. I consider a month without playing games as like being admitted to a psychiatric center.) I would point out stupid reasons like games are good for me; it improves my hand eye coordination and my analytical skills. Yeah right.

But the wakeup call for me was when I finally found myself running out of games to play and playing the on line game Bratz games. I was fed up with all the realistic games when I chance upon Bratz games. I thought hey this could be interesting to while the time. But Bratz games became more than whiling my time. Bratz games became my time. I even strive to be good at playing these games. Now even my friends were alarmed. “Are you serious man? We have not even heard of these Bratz games. Seriously dude, this is the ultimate loser mode.” I felt sore when they said that and when I realize I enjoy playing games played by 9 year olds, it dawned on me that something is seriously wrong with me.” So now, I banish all forms of electronic gaming and contend with doing crossword puzzles.

NCAA 09 Basketball
Do you want some hard court action at home? If so then order for your own copy of NCAA 09 Basketball!

Formerly named as NCAA Mega March Madness, the latest installment to the series comes with a new game engine – the same one used in NBA Live – as well as an all-new dynasty mode where you can enjoy roster sharing and playing against online rival teams in an instant. Its coach feedback system gives you critical coaching instructions and add the presence of Division I coaches in the sidelines.

Wolfenstein
A first-person shooter game with single player and multiplayer modes, Wolfenstein is expected to have a 2009 release. News about the game came as far back as 2004 with a TechNews report.

Wolfenstein is set at the peak of WWII with the whole world suffering amidst the chaos and devastation caused by the Nazis. Although the Allied Forces are experiencing a slow and steady progress against the Third Reich, Nazi forces are still substantial. To save the world from far greater horrors, it’s up to OSS agent BJ Blazkowicz to eliminate the secret weapon of the Nazis: an occult force known only as the Black Sun.

Destroy All Humans! Path of the Furon
The Path of the Furon is the third installment in the popular Destroy All Humans series. Set with a December 2008 release, the game has also been produced for Xbox 360.

The game takes place in the 1970’s, right after Destroy All Humans: Big Willy Unleashed.
You still take the role of Crpyto, an alien assigned to gather DNA samples, and face a new opponent. In the third installment, Crypto is now a casino owner and collects DNA samples from brainstems of his patrons. Trouble ensues, however, when his casino is attacked by Nexos, a strange cyborg race that represents a huge threat to his “normal” lifestyle.

Eternal Sonata
For true blue romantics, their excitement is probably focused on the anticipated release of Eternal Sonata in October 2008.

The protagonist of the game is a romantic himself, Frederic Chopin, a legendary pianist and composer in real life. Eternal Sonata is based on a fictional world that the romantic musician dreamt of in the remaining hours of his life (he had died at the young age of 39). Battles and attacks are based on the elements of Chopin’s music.

Computers and the Internet have changed dramatically during the past decade. Currently, there are over 30 billion Web sites online. Long gone are the days of floppy disks, 2-bit graphic computer games and dial-up Internet connections. These seemingly ancient computer and online features have been replaced by interactive first person shooter games that can be played with residents on another continent, lightning-fast Internet connections and millions of niche blogs.

Creating a Web site does not mean that millions of readers will suddenly flock to what you’ve written, no matter how interesting your content is. Google, one of the Internet’s most popular search engines, is commonly used to look for information, products and blogs. Having a substantial presence on the Internet can do wonders for your business or blog. To attract viewers to your site, you should hire an Internet marketing company to effectively market your site. An Internet marketing business can help increase your rankings, site views and will ultimately help increase your business. However, finding the right Internet marketing consultant in Pittsburgh can be a challenge.

SEO companies use a combination of effective Internet marketing copywriting and link building to increase a site or blog’s traffic. Unfortunately, many Internet marketing businesses use dishonest SEO techniques or black-hat methods that may eventually harm your site’s rankings and viewership. The following advice can help you find the most effective Internet marketing company in Pittsburgh.

• Be on the lookout for false promises. If an Internet marketing firm promises to get your site landed on the first page of a Google search, they aren’t telling the truth. Google, along with most search engines, utilize many different methods for first page rankings. These techniques are usually based on formulas that change on a regular basis. While it is entirely possible that your site may land on Google’s front page, there is no way to guarantee this.

• Watch out for black hat Internet marketing. There are two types of SEO – black hat and white hat. Black hat methods use dishonest practices, like stuffing keywords into text, hiding keywords on a page or spamming sites to increase page views. White hat SEO uses honest Internet marketing techniques, like social bookmarking, blog commenting and linking to other high-ranking pages to increase traffic. Pittsburgh Internet marketing firms that use these techniques will probably end up doing more harm than good. Your site may be flagged and eventually removed from a search engine’s results.

• Examine the price. If a price sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Watch out for Pittsburgh Internet marketing companies that offer their services at prices that are too low. They may be using black hat Internet marketing techniques that may increase your traffic initially, bAn t will ultimately harm your site.

• Watch your site’s content. An effective Internet marketing consultant should use content that is both interesting and search engine friendly. Your site’s content should flow naturally and be appealing to readers.

Successfully optimizing your Web site can be challenging. Finding the right Internet marketing company in Pittsburgh can help increase your site’s traffic and will eventually help your business.
