How cheapestPCrepair.com and other small shops are different:
BIG FRANCHISED REPAIR CENTERS (BEST BUY as an example) VS. SMALL SHOPS
DISCRETION, CONFIDENTIALITY AND TRUSTWORTHYNESS VS. BIG BUSINESS
Perhaps you have seen in the news, some of the problems the bigger companies have been having when it comes to customer service The Geek Squad, for example, has been in the news many times recently for everything from secretly video taping a woman in the shower and her 13 year old sister in her bedroom (NEWS)(VIDEO) and stealing private photos and data when they are supposed to be fixing your PC or downright stealing and selling your whole computer or internal parts! To make matters even worse, NOW they are outsourcing at least 40% of their repair jobs to India and Pakistan, which means your bank info, passwords, history, etc is in the hands of “Bob” from India or other countries with different or no privacy laws!… great!
The point I am trying to make is this, large companies with thousands of employees can not, nor would they care to if they could, monitor the individual actions of each employee. Each customer is just a number, another account, if the customer is dissatisfied, what of it. The company has no fears, they get customers through millions of advertisement dollars, NOT word of mouth or local company reputation and the individual employees, usually young kids do not have to worry about their actions, they either quit or get fired but either way it’s not the end of their career, it’s not their business on the line.
With a smaller business, like mine my reputation is very important to me and I will never do anything to damage it.
What about cost? With a large company that sells and repairs, their main policy is to sell sell sell. Perhaps, for example, you only use your computer for e-mail, but because of some small problem (which could be fixed with a little ingenuity), they tell you that you must purchase a new PC, then of course your “old printer” and monitor just won’t work right with the new system, and neither will that old printer cable, now you need a $20 USB cable and since your new PC is USB only, you will need new keyboard and mouse as well…. you easily could spend $600 to $2000 and then STILL have to pay for them to transfer the data from your old system, hook it up to the Internet for you and of course, the original repair costs! (yes, Best Buy and most other Big Box stores charge you whether they can fix it or not) Unfortunately, if you have an older computer or are not willing to purchase all new parts, Big Business can not help you, they will not even try, in fact, your having an older system hurts their business. they want and need everyone to buy new equipment all the time and throw out the old. At CheapestPCrepair, I strive to save you money, I do not tack on all kinds of frivolous and sneaky charges to pad the bill, if you have a tight budget i will work with you to get the cheaper parts or even find used/refurbished computer & laptop parts for you. you WILL save money by using my company and THAT’S the difference!
