Death Knights are a unique class that differ completely from the other classes. They start at level 55 and level the first three levels in a starting area that allows you to gain talent points and gear to catch you up to the level of both that would be ideal for a character at that level. When you leave the starting area at level 58, you will be able to start in the Outlands without having to visit any of the old world content.

Death Knights have two primary choices. They can either DPS, or they can tank.

DPS Death Knights have two choices for talent specializations, Blood and Unholy. Blood is a very good choice as the DPS is very high, but you have the ability to gain a certain percentage of your damage back in health. This reduces the down time between each fight for your class, and makes it so healers do not have to heal you quite as much.

Unholy Death Knights do not heal for near as much, but they definitely have the ability to kill with help. Talent specialization when properly done will allow an Unholy Death Knight to have a minion summoned that will last until killed or dismissed. Minions normally last around 2 minutes if you do not specialize in them.

Tanking Death Knights are frost specialized, and have a big glaring difference from other tanks like paladins and warriors. Like druids they don’t use shields. They have 2 hand weapons or dual wield 1 hand weapons. Death Knights also have to maximize their defence and have to ensure they have a high stamina to accompany it.

Tanking Death Knights also have great area tanking abilities. They are able to take multiple monsters with relative ease. They do not have mana, nor do they have rage, but they have a completely different system based off of Runic Power and Runes.

Runes were a very simple system to understand. You had 6 runes, 2 of each base type. Blood, Frost, and Unholy runes were the three basic runes. Some skills allow a chance that Frost and Unholy runes can become Death Runes. Death Runes count as a blood, frost, or unholy rune. This allows flex when playing your Death Knight. After you use your runes, they go on a short cool down and you will have to wait until this cool down is up before you can again use them for whatever skill requires them.

When playing a Death Knight you need to remember that you need to be cautious. They are unlike any other class you’ve played and they can possibly confuse those that do not understand how to properly utilize their talents.

When you begin playing the Death Knight, be sure to pay close attention to both the levelling guide, and to the starting line of quests. Both will teach you the Death Knight basics that will ensure your understanding and survival.

The Guide will provide the basics and will show you how to maximize the effectiveness, and enjoyment that you will get from your Death Knight.

YOUR QUESTIONS
"How do I use one monitor for two computers?"
If your monitor has a switch to control inputs DVI / VGA and you will be able to connect each computer to one of those inputs. You may need to buy a 2-Port KVM with Integrated Cableswhich lets you use 1 keyboard, 1 monitor and 1 mouse on 2 computers.
