The easiest way of unblocking Myspace at school is by using a proxy. You can get onto any other blocked site this way. There are links to proxies at the bottom of this article.
How do proxies work?
A proxy is like a gateway that pass information between your computer and the site you’re visiting. The proxy accesses the site in your place, downloads the page, and forwards it to you. So the site you’re trying to visit only sees the proxy’s IP. So in effect you are surfing websites indirectly. School filters only think you are accessing the proxy, not the site you actually want.
A little advice when using a proxy for Myspace
The trick is to find a proxy site that very few people know about. Popular proxies will get blocked faster. Proxies that you find by internet searches will get blocked more quickly because they’re so easy to find. Even if you get a good proxy it’s a good idea to have an alternative you can use if it gets blocked.
Another way of unblocking Myspace in school is by making your own proxy tool. This is more complicated than using a proxy but better in the long run because if they block it, you can make another. How to do this is beyond the scope of this article, do a search for “How to make your own proxy” you should find help. You can also make money from your proxy by letting people advertise on it.
Some other ways to unblock Myspace include by using translator sites, for example Google Translate or Babelfish. Also try Google’s cached version of the site. However, you can’t log in that way, so it’s still best to use proxies for Myspace, though these tips work well for most websites.
