I solved my problem by doing the following: 1. threw said machine into the trashbin 2. purchased new machine!!! I wish I would have seen this first!!! Many times people neglect to consider that memory could be failing. Your memory might work great for games, but not for MS Office, or it might work great for everything, untill you try to install Windows.
